Persona AI develops humanoid robots and a labor platform to perform physically demanding tasks in industries like shipbuilding, construction, and energy infrastructure. These robots work alongside human employees to handle specialized jobs such as welding, allowing industrial sites to maintain continuous, 24/7 operations. Unlike many competitors, the company uses a "Constructor Program" that allows governments and large corporations to help co-architect the robots to meet their specific operational needs. The company's goal is to solve global labor shortages by providing a scalable robotic workforce for the world's most difficult industrial environments.

Persona AI, a Houston-based humanoid robotics company, has appointed Brian Davis as Head of Global Manufacturing to scale commercial production for industrial applications. Davis brings over 30 years of operations experience, including roles at Amazon Robotics and Dell Technologies, where he oversaw 25-fold increases in manufacturing volumes within four years. The appointment comes as Persona prepares to fulfil growing demand following agreements with HD Hyundai and POSCO Group for deployment in shipyards and steel manufacturing, plus a pilot programme with Louisiana. Founded in 2024, Persona AI develops humanoid robots for high-risk industrial tasks including welding, fabrication and heavy maintenance. Davis will oversee manufacturing infrastructure, supply chain management and quality control as the company transitions from prototype to volume production.
Posco Group is expanding its adoption of physical AI and humanoid robots across industrial sites. Posco DX has invested $2 million in US-based industrial humanoid robotics company Persona AI, with plans for joint robot development and field applications. The investment was made through Posco DX's corporate venture capital fund, established in the second half of this year with Posco Technology Investment. An additional $1 million was invested through Posco CVC Scale-up Fund No. 1, bringing the total group investment to $3 million. Founded in June last year, Persona AI develops humanoid robots specialised for heavy industry environments with high labour intensity. The company was co-founded by Nicholas Radford, a former NASA roboticist serving as CEO, and Jerry Pratt, former CTO of Figure AI, as CTO.
International classification society ABS and Persona AI have signed a memorandum of understanding to develop inspection technologies for humanoid robot platforms aimed at enhancing productivity and safety in shipyards.
It has agreed with Persona AI and Vazil Company to jointly develop humanoid robots designed for shipyard welding tasks, with commercial deployment planned for 2027.
Persona AI Inc has secured $27 million in pre-seed funding to innovate tech evaluations with a new Zoom app. The company may be interested in solutions related to applicant tracking systems, recruitment platforms, assessment tools, HR analytics, and video interviewing services.
