Hospitality software and payments services provider Planet has acquired three hotel software distributors: Ideosoft, Rebagdata and XN PMS Limited. The terms of the deals were not disclosed.London-based Planet says it acquired Protel in March 2022 to extend its reach in the hotel industry. The three companies it just acquired all re-sell Protel software to customers in Europe.“We’re continuing to invest in growing our hospitality business and cementing our leading position in the market as a provider of connected commerce solutions that enhance the guest experience and generate more revenue for hoteliers,” says Lennert De Jong, Planet's president of hospitality who joined the company in September after 16 years at CitizenM. .
