Power Factors, a renewable energy management software provider, has secured a minority investment from Abu Dhabi-based Mubadala Investment Company. Mubadala will join existing investor Vista Equity Partners to support the company's growth and global expansion. The Boston-based firm manages 310 gigawatts of renewable energy assets across 18,000 sites in over 70 countries, serving 600 customers including 70% of the world's top 50 renewable energy producers. The investment will advance Power Factors' Unity Renewable Energy Management Suite, particularly its AI-driven REMI intelligence engine, which uses agentic optimisation to improve portfolio performance. The funding will also support expansion of the company's monitoring and control business, driven by growth in utility-scale energy storage and hybrid energy systems. Power Factors manages 25% of global renewable energy data in its markets.

Power Factors has launched Unity REMI (Renewable Energy Management Intelligence), an AI-powered intelligence engine designed to optimise renewable energy portfolio performance. The company claims REMI is valued at managing operations across 310 gigawatts of renewable assets globally. REMI uses agentic AI to provide real-time monitoring, predictive analytics and automated decision-making across solar, wind, battery storage and hybrid portfolios. The system can diagnose performance issues, predict future performance risks and automate workflows like contract extraction. Currently active across more than 30 gigawatts of assets, REMI is available to all Unity APM users, with additional features rolling out throughout 2026. Power Factors manages 25% of the world's renewable energy data across 600-plus customers in over 70 countries.
