SLS client J-Impact joins Powerline's $7MM Seed round. Silicon Legal represented J-Impact as they joined Powerline's $7 million Seed round. Powerline is an energy storage software company building AI-driven intelligence and digital testbeds to help developers and utilities operate and scale battery portfolios more effectively. The round was led by MaC Venture Capital and included investments from, in addition to J-Impact, LG Technology Ventures, Alumni Ventures, and CLAI Ventures.

The startup is building an intelligence platform that converts market signals and portfolio data into actionable decisions for battery operators. Founded by Matineh Eybpoosh and Julian Lamy, who bring experience operating battery systems at scale, Powerline addresses the growing challenge of managing energy infrastructure as AI demands increase. The platform helps operators understand asset underperformance and test different strategies to improve outcomes in real time. Grid-scale batteries now operate within volatile markets and complex incentive structures, yet many operators lack modern software for performance analysis and adaptation. Powerline's technology aims to improve reliability and resilience across the energy system.
