Stay in touch. Aug 5, 2026 Supporting the growth of e-mobility with seamless charging and payments As electric mobility continues to grow, charging infrastructure needs to become smarter, more accessible, and easier to manage. Beyond the charging station itself, operators need reliable technology that connects chargers, payments, users, and business processes into one seamless ecosystem. To support this evolution, Printec has partnered with ELMARK PLUS in Slovakia, a long-standing provider of electric vehicle charging solutions. As part of this collaboration, Printec Group has achieved the first live deployment of its EV charging solution in Slovakia, featuring an EV charger equipped with a CASTLES S1U2 payment terminal and Printec's EV charging management platform. The installation is located at the Tesco store in Šaľa, Slovakia, providing EV drivers with a convenient charging experience supported by secure cashless payments and intelligent charging management. Behind the charging experience: the role of the EV charging backend While drivers interact with the charging station, a powerful software layer works behind the scenes to manage every aspect of the charging process. Printec's EV charging management platform acts as the central control system connecting: * Charging stations * Payment terminals * End users * Pricing models * Billing processes * Charging operators and merchants It enables operators to manage their charging infrastructure efficiently while providing users with a simple and reliable charging experience. Connecting charging stations through OCPP The platform communicates with EV chargers using OCPP (Open Charge Point Protocol), an industry-standard communication protocol that enables two-way communication between charging stations and the backend. Through OCPP, operators can: * Monitor charger status in real time * Start and stop charging sessions remotely * Collect energy consumption data * Receive error notifications * Manage charging operations centrally This allows multiple charging points to be monitored and managed from a single platform. Seamless payments at the charging point A key element of the solution is the integration of payment terminals directly into the charging experience. The CASTLES S1U2 payment terminal enables EV drivers to easily select a charger, start a charging session, and complete payment using cashless payment methods. This creates a familiar and convenient experience while helping operators simplify payment management and revenue tracking. Flexible pricing and business management The platform supports different charging business models, allowing operators to configure pricing according to their needs. Examples include: * Pricing based on energy consumption (kWh) * Fixed charging session fees * Time-based pricing * Additional parking fees after charging completion All charging sessions are automatically recorded, including energy usage, duration, pricing, and transaction information. Built for scalability The platform follows a multi-tenant architecture, allowing multiple partners, operators, or resellers to manage their own charging networks independently within the same ecosystem. This enables: * Separate environments for different partners * Independent management of charging points and merchants * Centralized monitoring and administration * Scalable expansion from individual locations to larger networks * Supporting the future of mobility The collaboration between Printec and ELMARK PLUS demonstrates how combining charging infrastructure, payments expertise, and intelligent software can accelerate the adoption of e-mobility. With the first live deployment now operational in Slovakia, Printec Group continue to support businesses in creating convenient, secure, and scalable EV charging experiences for the future.

Stay in touch. Jul 20, 2026 The way Printec Group pay for almost everything has changed. Printec Group tap its cards to buy coffee, use its smartphones to board public transport, and complete purchases in seconds without carrying cash. Yet, in many parking facilities, the experience remains largely unchanged. Drivers still collect paper tickets, visit payment machines, and queue before exiting. These traditional processes not only create friction for customers but also increase operational complexity for parking operators through ticket management, cash handling, equipment maintenance, and ongoing operational costs. A Better Parking Experience At Printec, Printec Group believe parking should be as simple as every other modern payment experience. That's why its team in Cyprus has developed a Cashless & Ticketless Parking solution that removes paper tickets from the process entirely. Drivers simply tap their contactless bank card or smart wallet when entering the parking facility and tap again when leaving. The system securely recognises the customer, calculates the parking fee based on the actual parking duration, processes the payment, and automatically authorises the exit. No tickets. No cash.No unnecessary delays. Benefits for Drivers The experience becomes faster and more convenient: * No paper tickets to keep or replace * No payment queues * Quick and seamless entry and exit * Secure payments using familiar contactless methods * Benefits for Parking Operators Operators also benefit from a simplified parking ecosystem. The solution helps reduce: * Ticket issuance and consumables * Cash handling processes * Pay station dependency * Lost ticket administration * Equipment maintenance requirements At the same time, it improves vehicle flow, enhances the customer experience, and simplifies day-to-day operations. More Than Visitor Parking The platform also includes a Monthly Parking Access module, enabling organisations to manage subscription-based parking for employees, tenants, and frequent users through configurable access rights and parking allocation policies. Supporting the Digital Transformation of Parking As digital payments continue to reshape customer expectations across every industry, parking is evolving too. Printec Cyprus is proud to introduce a modern parking solution designed to help organisations deliver a seamless parking experience while reducing operational complexity. This is more than a new payment method, it's a smarter way to manage parking. The future of parking starts with a simple tap. Printec Partners With BIXOLON For Retail Kiosk Printing Solutions

Printec partners with BIXOLON for retail kiosk printing solutions. BIXOLON Europe GmbH, a subsidiary of BIXOLON Co. Ltd, a leading global Mobile, Label and POS printer manufacturer, announces its partnership with Printec Group (Printec) to provide receipt printers for its self-service and kiosk applications, used within retail and food service environments. BIXOLON's BK3-31 (80mm) open frame and SRP-Q300 (80mm) cube packaged thermal receipt printers have been selected by Printec, as it offers self-service and kiosk solutions to its clients across Europe. BIXOLON's printers will integrate into appropriate kiosk solutions and provide consumers a frictionless, fast and efficient payment experience. Printec is a leading provider of transaction technologies in Central and Eastern Europe. Based out of Slovenia, it specialises in providing payment solutions, self-service technologies and integrated retail systems to its customers. In addition to this the business is committed to advancing self-service technology and kiosk usage within retail and food service environments. Its kiosks are, mainly, designed to reduce waiting times, streamline ordering, and enhance convenience for customers at the point of sale or checkout. Therefore, a critical component of this process is any kiosk's ability to print receipts instantly and reliably. For this to take place accurately and efficiently, it is essential for the printers that are used to integrate seamlessly with kiosk hardware and software; that high-volume usage without frequent maintenance is supported; and that the printers fit within the physical constraints of the kiosk enclosures. To address these requirements, Printec turned to BIXOLON, with support from the distribution partner, Ingram Micro. Both teams worked closely together; and after evaluating several alternatives, the company selected the BIXOLON BK3-31 open frame and SRP-Q300 cube packaged thermal receipt printers. These models were chosen because of their compact design, which made them suitable for kiosk integration, and their proven reliability in high-transaction environments. During the integration, BIXOLON provided flexibility in production options and technical support, while Printec facilitated smooth deployment and configuration which resulted in a reliable, cost-effective final kiosk solution which can be tailored to business requirements. The integration process was straightforward too, thanks to the compatibility of the printers with existing kiosk systems. Using CUPS software and network connectivity, the printers were quickly configured for invoice printing when deployed. Initial installations were carried out in demo kiosks to validate performance and durability, followed by a phased rollout into production units, with technical support from Printec to ensure a smooth transition. "Finding the right printer was a challenge. We needed a solution that wasn't just reliable, but also flexible enough to adapt to different kiosk models and scalable across multiple locations. It had to be fast, durable, cost-efficient, and capable of supporting continuous operation," says Jana Letonja, Account Manager at Printec S.I. D.O.O. "After successful testing was complete, deployment was straightforward, requiring minimal customisation thanks to the compatibility of BIXOLON printers with the kiosk systems." Paul Kim, Managing Director of BIXOLON Europe GmbH says, "Today, BIXOLON printers are currently being rolled out in kiosks throughout Slovenia, with all future installations planned to use the same standardised approach. For the business, the solution has improved operational efficiency by reducing downtime and minimising the need for maintenance interventions. The compact design of the printers has ensured seamless integration within kiosk enclosures, while the reliability of thermal printing has lowered ongoing costs. For customers, the benefit is immediate: receipts are printed quickly and clearly at the end of each transaction, enhancing trust, convenience, and overall satisfaction." Ultimately, the deployment of BIXOLON printers has delivered significant value to both Printec and its customers aligning with the company's focus on delivering flexible, customer-orientated self-service technologies. The close collaboration with BIXOLON has enabled Printec to expand its offering in the retail and food service sector, supporting its strategy to integrate reliable hardware into its broader self-service ecosystem.
