PProcede Software builds enterprise dealer management software (DMS) for automotive dealerships, primarily using Microsoft tools. Its flagship Excede DMS runs as Windows and browser-based applications that connect manufacturers, dealers, and dealership customers to manage operations more efficiently. The product provides a flexible data environment, clear data access, and seamless integration across the value chain, helping dealerships coordinate inventory, sales, service, and financing. Compared with competitors, Procede focuses specifically on the automotive sector with an established DMS platform and tight integration between manufacturers, dealers, and customers, rather than offering generic software. The company’s goal is to improve dealer operational efficiency and streamline workflows by giving dealerships a comprehensive, integrated system that covers core functions from inventory to customer communication.

Procede Software has acquired RIMSS, a San Antonio-based dealer management system (DMS) provider serving agriculture, construction, and transportation dealers. Financial terms were not disclosed. Founded in 1983, RIMSS supports more than 200 dealer groups across North America and works with manufacturers including Kubota, Case IH, AGCO, and Hino. Procede, which serves more than 1,200 rooftops through its Excede platform, is 25 years old. Procede said many truck dealers using Excede have expanded into agriculture and construction, where RIMSS has more than 40 years of experience. RIMSS customers will keep their software, contracts, and support teams. The deal follows Rubicon Technology Partners' January 2026 investment in Procede.

Reconciliation work has been reduced by up to 97% at some multi-location accounts, whilst dispute-resolution time across the network has dropped 65% year over year. Procede Software launches Payments, a foundation for financial workflows across Commercial Vehicle operations. The new payment solution connects every transaction to the business, reducing manual work, accelerating cash flow, and strengthening enterprise risk controls. SAN DIEGO, CA, UNITED STATES, October 8, 2026 / EINPresswire.com / - Procede Software, a preeminent provider of enterprise-level dealer management systems (DMS) and solutions for the commercial vehicle industry, today announced the launch of Payments, a fully embedded payment solution built natively into Excede and powered by Stripe. Payments connects every transaction directly to Excede, replacing the separate logins, processors, and manual work businesses have traditionally relied on. It's built on Stripe's infrastructure for the reliability and security the business depends on and marks an important first step in Procede's broader Fintech strategy around the financial workflows that support commercial vehicle operations. "Payment workflows have long been a disconnected piece of running a commercial vehicle business," said Larry Kettler, CEO and Chairman of Procede Software. "We built Payments so our customers stop choosing between running their business in Excede and getting paid outside of it." Built Around the Way Commercial Vehicle Businesses Operate Payments connects payment activity to the broader operational record, so teams can manage transactions, payment status, refunds, payment links, and reconciliation without ever leaving Excede. The result is less manual payment and reconciliation work, giving every department real-time visibility into payment activity instead of an end-of-month reconstruction. Payment links and remote acceptance mean invoices get paid faster, moving cash in the door sooner rather than waiting on a mailed check or a callback. It also improves customer payment interactions in person and remotely, and strengthens controls around fraud, disputes, and payment data. "Every business we talked to had some version of the same story: an invoice gets printed out of Excede, carried to a different machine, and everyone hopes the two systems agree at month-end," said Ben Jenkins, Senior Vice President of Fintech at Procede Software. "Payments closes that gap. The payment happens where the invoice already lives." Solving the Whole Workflow, Not Just the First Click Payments was built for the situations that actually happen in a commercial vehicle business: an owner authorizing a Pay by Link payment remotely while their driver picks up the parts in person, a customer splitting a balance between cash and card at the counter, and a team supporting multi-location operations where everyone works from the same system and the same data at the same time. Because every transaction stays tied to its customer, invoice, branch, and payment method, staff at any location can look up a transaction and issue a return, even if the sale happened somewhere else. When questions come up, the answer is already there. Metadata down to the workstation and employee level shows what happened, where it posted, and who acted, reducing the time it used to take to track down answers. "The biggest value is uptime and the fact that our operations team can self-serve. They don't have to go through accounting anymore." - Marilyn Gomez, Lead Staff Accountant, RWC Group Built for Security and Reliability, Backed by an Industry Leader Payments layers fraud intelligence, 3D Secure authentication, and dual tokenization with Stripe and card networks to keep credentials current and reduce declined transactions. Card data moves through Stripe's vaulted systems rather than sitting in business systems or on paper at the counter, narrowing the PCI compliance footprint staff have to carry. That same infrastructure delivers 99.999% uptime, a reliability standard that is unmatched at Stripe's transaction scale, with Interac and pre-authorized debit support extending that same reliability into Canada. "Embedding payments into a dealer management system isn't about adding a terminal or a button; it's about getting dozens of decisions right across the entire business," said Jenkins. "We care as much about the driver waiting at the counter or paying by a link from the road as we do about the controller closing the books at month-end. That's why we chose Stripe for the Payments foundation while focusing our investment on the workflows, controls, and industry context that matter to commercial vehicle businesses." Customer Results Across the Full Workflow Customers report measurable results immediately upon going live, including rollouts with zero downtime and reconciliation work cut by as much as 97% at some multi-location accounts. Dispute-resolution time across the network has dropped 65% year over year. Centralized case management and guided evidence also help businesses respond to disputes faster and distinguish legitimate fraud from other chargeback claims. "Going live across 19 locations was smooth. We met our two-week target and were live Monday morning without a hitch. It was one of our smoothest implementations yet." - David Ehlinger, CFO, Gordon Truck Centers AVAILABILITY Payments is available to Excede customers in the United States and Canada. Procede Software launches Document Sign to accelerate approvals and eliminate paper-based workflows. New embedded signing workflows improve operational visibility, mitigate risk, and keep work moving SAN DIEGO, CA, UNITED STATES, July 7, 2026 / EINPresswire.com / - Procede Software, a preeminent provider of enterprise-level dealer management systems (DMS) and solutions for the commercial vehicle industry, today announced the release of Document Sign, a digital signature solution built directly into Excede. By embedding approvals and document signing into operational workflows, Document Sign helps eliminate paper-based delays, accelerate customer approvals, and maintain a complete history of every transaction. Signing Workflows Built into Daily Operations With Document Sign, printing, scanning, filing, and disconnected paper processes are replaced with centralized workflows inside Excede. Removing paper-based approvals reduces operational overhead, eliminates reliance on physical document storage, and supports a more efficient, digital approach to documentation and record management. By maintaining signed documents and approvals within Excede, Document Sign provides a complete history of customer authorizations and transaction-related documentation. "Historically, dealerships are full of paper, and every one of those documents represents delay, administrative burden, and operational risk," said Larry Kettler, CEO & Chairman of Procede Software. "Document Sign keeps approvals connected directly to the workflow inside Excede, allowing our customers to move work forward faster, reduce disputes, and improve visibility across the organization." Faster Approvals Without Interrupting the Workflow Customers can review and sign documents from virtually any device, wherever they are, without returning to the dealership. Teams can send requests by email or text, capture approvals in person, or complete transactions electronically while keeping communication, approvals, and documentation tied to the transaction. As a result, operational workflows can continue moving without delays tied to misplaced paperwork, callbacks, or disconnected approval processes. Faster approvals allow completed work to be invoiced more quickly, shortening the time between completion and payment while improving operational throughput. Shared Visibility Across Departments Document Sign supports company-wide workflows, including service, parts, lease and rental, vehicle sales, accounting, and payment-related processes. Documents, approvals, and transactions remain in Excede, giving departments shared visibility into customer activity, approval status, and operational progress from start to finish. The complete audit history creates a readily accessible record of signed approvals, timestamps, and supporting documentation, improving accountability while reducing disputes and operational friction. "What used to take multiple steps with printing and scanning is now handled in a few clicks," said Nick Graves, FP&A Director at RWC Group. "It has made a noticeable difference in our turnaround time. Moving away from paper has been a big win for us. Document Sign eliminates the back-and-forth, keeps approvals organized in one place, and gives us confidence that signed documents are easy to retrieve whenever we need them." Secure Digital Signing with Docusign Integrated with Docusign and embedded directly into Excede, Document Sign delivers secure, compliant digital approvals while maintaining the operational visibility, connected workflows, and transaction-level accountability today's businesses require. A secure, auditable history of agreement and approval activity remains tied directly to each transaction and accessible within Excede.
