Housing Bank enhances its payments framework with ProgressSoft partnership. The two firms have been collaborating since 1993, when Housing Bank partnered with ProgressSoft in 1993 for its Signature Verification Solution. May 18, 2026 Jordan-based commercial Housing Bank for Trade and Finance has selected local fintech ProgressSoft to upgrade its payments network. ProgressSoft's Payments Hub Platform will streamline both local and international payment corridors, with the vendor stating in an announcement that following the integration, businesses will experience "faster settlement times, improved tracking and greater transparency". The statement continues that this move also aligns with the bank's goal of supporting global payment standards like Swift GPI and CBPR+. Initially formed as a home financing institution in 1973, Housing Bank became a fully authorised commercial bank in 1997. It now offers a range of accounts, cards, loans and e-services to individuals and businesses. The bank has since established itself in eight countries, including Algeria, Bahrain, the UAE and the UK. The collaboration with ProgressSoft is the latest agreement in a long-standing partnership between the two firms.
