QBS

Trauma-informed crisis prevention training program

Overview

QBS provides Safety-Care crisis prevention training for professionals to prevent, de-escalate, and safely respond to challenging behavior while preserving dignity and positive relationships. Grounded in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS), the program prioritizes prevention first. It trains staff to recognize early signs of escalation, use effective de-escalation techniques, and teach meaningful replacement skills to reduce future crises. The approach is reinforcement-based and trauma-informed, focusing on safety, choice, and skill development for both staff and the individuals they support. By emphasizing proactive strategies and practical application, Safety-Care aims to reduce unsafe situations, minimize the use of restrictive interventions, and boost staff confidence in high-stress moments. The goal is to help organizations create safer environments with fewer crises while maintaining respect and positive relationships.
