Summary of QuantAQ: 1) What it does: QuantAQ builds and manages air quality sensor networks and an all-in-one platform to set up, operate, and derive insights from a distributed network of sensors. The sensors measure EPA criteria pollutants (and more) and stream data continuously to users. 2) How it works: Internet-connected sensors collect air quality data and transmit it in real-time to QuantAQ’s platform. The platform helps users deploy, manage, monitor, and analyze the data, using machine learning to improve accuracy from low-cost sensors. 3) How it differs: It offers an end-to-end solution—hardware, data platform, and analytics—delivered globally with a focus on researchers and regulatory bodies, transparency, and accessible science, plus ML-based calibration for reliable measurements from low-cost devices. 4) Goal: To provide precise, actionable air quality data to researchers and regulators worldwide, enabling informed decisions and transparent science.

CAMBRIDGE, Mass., May 20, 2025 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- QuantAQ, a leader in air quality sensing, today announced the launch of the MODULAIR-UFP, a new sensor built to measure ultrafine particles (UFPs) in outdoor environments, enabling researchers, regulators, and communities to access new data for air quality monitoring. Designed to operate outside the lab and in long-term installations, the MODULAIR-UFP measures total particle number concentrations from 0 to 100,000 particles per cubic centimeter (p/cm³) with little to no maintenance for extended periods of time. “Until now, ultrafine particle monitoring has been highly constrained and difficult for long-term outdoor uses,” said David Hagan, CEO and Co-founder of QuantAQ. “The MODULAIR-UFP brings these critical measurements into the field with precision, reliability, and ease.” Each MODULAIR-UFP is equipped with a Gill® Weather Station, adding detailed meteorological measurements—including wind speed, wind direction, temperature, and humidity—to help contextualize pollution sources. This pairing provides a new level of resolution for understanding local air quality dynamics, particularly in complex urban and industrial environments. “With its compactness and portability, the MODULAIR-UFP opens up exciting new research possibilities,” said Dr
QuantAQ, Inc. launched new features to make collaboration easier including its introduction of Organizations and Networks
"Until today's deployment of QuantAQ's sensors, we've lacked comprehensive data to back up what we already know: Air pollution is affecting every aspect of our community's health and well-being, and it's getting worse, not better." - Arif Ullah, Executive Director of South Bronx Unite. .
Today QuantAQ, Inc. is excited to share three new updates to QuantAQ Cloud - with more coming soon!
