Dutch bank Rabobank announced it will invest €2 billion over the next three years in data, technology, and AI to strengthen its IT foundation and enhance customer experience. CEO Stefaan Decraene said the investment aims to meet evolving customer expectations as new technologies transform banking operations. The move follows similar initiatives by other banks, including British bank Lloyds, which announced AI-driven cost-cutting plans last month. Rabobank reported first-half net profit of €2.69 billion, unchanged from the same period last year. The investment comes as banks worldwide increase their AI spending to remain competitive and improve services.
