Raft participates in Army's Lightning Surge exercises. 0 Comments On March 11, Raft announced that Raft Data Platform ((R) DP) and Raft AI Mission System ((R) AIMS) directly enabled the 25th Infantry Division's Lightning Surge 1 and 2 exercises, part of the Army's Next Generation Command and Control (NGC2) initiative. In partnership with the Army's 25th Infantry Division, CPE C2IN, and industry partners Lockheed Martin, Accelint, and Rune Technologies, Raft delivered real-time, hardware- and data-agnostic synchronization of sensors, fires, ISR, and sustainment systems under live-fire conditions at the tactical edge. Both exercises validate that a software-defined, data-first approach accelerates decisions, increases soldier lethality, and enables decisive multi-domain operations at speed and scale. During Lightning Surge 2, division artillery soldiers from the 25th Infantry Division demonstrated Raft Data Platform and Raft AI Mission System ingesting live calls for fires and compressing a soldier intensive process into an automated workflow. The demonstration validated, under senior leadership scrutiny, that AI-powered, agnostic data integration can materially accelerate lethal decision cycles in live-fire conditions at the tactical edge. "In modern combat, weapons systems, battle-tested and emerging, must operate together at the tactical edge under pressure," said Shubhi Mishra, founder and CEO of Raft. "Raft Data Platform and Raft AI Mission System are the leading agnostic data and AI layers built for the tactical edge that persists when transport degrades, applications change, or environments become contested. Lightning Surge exercises continue to validate exactly this under live fire." Through the Lightning Surge exercises, the team is validating a modern, open by design command and control architecture that aims to reduce costs, streamline integration and get capability to operators faster, the company said. Raft, a defence technology company, has announced that its Data Platform and AI Mission System supported the US Army's Lightning Surge 1 and 2 exercises at Schofield Barracks, Hawaii. The exercises were part of the Army's Next Generation Command and Control initiative with the 25th Infantry Division. Raft's technology enabled real-time synchronisation of sensors, fires, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance, and sustainment systems under live-fire conditions. The platform ingested multi-domain data including electronic warfare targeting, live drone video and battle damage assessments into a unified operating picture. During Lightning Surge 2, the system demonstrated AI-powered workflows that automated soldier-intensive processes, compressing decision cycles for HIMARS and M777 artillery engagements. Lightning Surge 3 is scheduled for April 2026, focusing on airspace mission threads.
Raft has been awarded an Other Transaction Agreement by the Chief Digital and Artificial Intelligence Office in partnership with US Central Command, following a competitive five-day vendor evaluation last autumn. The award follows Raft's demonstration of its AI Mission System, a no-code machine learning platform enabling operators to train and deploy computer vision models without data science expertise. The system integrates with NGA Maven workflows and supports satellite broad area search, distributed maritime monitoring and counter-unmanned systems threat detection. It allows model refresh within days and features built-in guardrails for responsible AI deployment. Founded by CEO Shubhi Mishra, Raft serves over 25 federal agencies with autonomous data fusion and agentic AI solutions designed for mission-critical defence environments.
On September 23, Raft announced that it has been awarded an Integration of Digital Ecosystem Applications (IDEA) Single Award Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract by U.S. Special Operations Command (USSOCOM).
On August 7, Raft, in partnership with Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC), announced the award of the U.S. Air Force Tactical Exploitation of National Capabilities (TENCAP) HOPE 2.0 contract.
