The global freight forwarder is deploying Reindeer's technology to streamline complex workflows, starting with its quoting process. The initial implementation addresses quote requests arriving in multiple formats, from spreadsheets to handwritten notes. Reindeer built an Outlook plugin that automatically extracts shipment details, flags missing information and tracks requests. The system was trained on 20 sample requests and moved to production within weeks, significantly reducing quote turnaround times. Reindeer has raised $18 million in seed funding from Lightspeed, Team8 and Vesey Ventures. Hellmann plans to scale AI across additional workflows as part of its ongoing digital transformation.
