Rentable

Rentable

Apartment rental marketplace with advertising analytics

Overview

Rentable runs an online marketplace for apartment rentals focused on the multifamily housing sector. It connects renters with available properties through Rentable.co and provides property managers with targeted advertising and data-driven insights via ApartmentIQ. Users (renters) get a streamlined search and application experience, while property management companies receive tools to attract qualified tenants and optimize occupancy and rental income. Revenue comes from fees for advertising and data services. The company differentiates itself by pairing a renter-focused marketplace with data-backed advertising solutions and market intelligence tailored to multifamily property managers. Rentable’s goal is to help renters quickly find suitable homes and help property managers efficiently fill units and maximize rental revenue.

Simplify's Take

What believers are saying

  • Rentable expanded Rent Manager partnership on October 6, 2025.
  • Its 2026 New York compliance guides target urgent legal deadlines for landlords.
  • Integration pages updated June-July 2026 show active product maintenance and go-to-market execution.

What critics are saying

  • Rentable depends on niche deposit pain points; Yardi can absorb this feature by 2027.
  • Its blog-heavy distribution lacks visible funding, layoffs, or acquisition momentum in 2025-2026.
  • If major PMS vendors replicate deadline automation, Rentable loses its standalone reason to exist.

What makes Rentable unique

  • Rentable natively integrates with Yardi and Rent Manager for deposit workflows.
  • Its 2026 product tracks compliance deadlines, interest, and dormancy reporting automatically.
  • It bundles resident-facing deposit management with property-manager ledger synchronization.

ApartmentIQ secures $25M follow-on funding to expand AI platform for multifamily sector

Multifamily data company ApartmentIQ has secured $25 million in follow-on funding from Susquehanna Growth Equity (SGE). SGE previously led ApartmentIQ's $22.5 million Series B round in 2021, when the company operated as Rentable, an apartment marketplace. ApartmentIQ now provides real-time market intelligence, revenue management and AI tools for the multifamily sector. The company announced it has surpassed 8 million units in its customer base. The new capital will fund continued development of recently launched products, including Explore Pro, a market research tool, and Daylight, a revenue management platform. Both products are tracking to exceed 1 million customer units in their first year. The funding also supports MavenAI, ApartmentIQ's multifamily marketing agent, which uses AI to automate marketing actions for property operators. Additional investment will go towards hiring across engineering, data, product and go-to-market teams.
