Reolink integrates with Homey to trigger smart home automations via camera detections

Reolink has integrated its security cameras with Homey, a smart home platform by Athom (part of LG Electronics), enabling cameras to trigger automated actions across more than 1,000 connected brands. The integration transforms Reolink cameras from standalone monitoring devices into active smart home participants. Reolink's built-in person, pet and vehicle detection can now trigger "Homey Flows" — automations that control lights, locks, thermostats and other devices. Users can manage everything through the Homey app, receiving notifications, capturing snapshots and controlling camera features like spotlights and pan-tilt rotation. Most Reolink WiFi, PoE and NVR systems are compatible, excluding 4G/LTE models. Setup requires simply adding cameras through the Homey App Store to begin creating automated workflows.

Reolink Launches TrackFlex Floodlight WiFi with 360-Degree Coverage

Reolink launches TrackFlex Floodlight WiFi with 360-degree coverage. Reolink has announced the TrackFlex Floodlight WiFi, a hardwired outdoor floodlight camera that pairs a dual-lens 4K imaging system with pan-and-tilt movement for full 360-degree horizontal coverage. The company says the new model is available in the U.S. starting at $259.99 through Reolink's online store and Amazon, and it is positioned as a subscription-free option with on-device AI search for recorded clips. TrackFlex Floodlight WiFi is built around a 2-in-1 dual-lens design, combining a wide-angle 4K lens for area coverage with a telephoto lens used for close-up tracking. The approach keeps a wide view for context while the tracking lens maintains detail on moving subjects, even as the camera rotates or follows motion. Both views can be displayed at the same time in the Reolink app. Floodlight hardware, siren, and tunable lighting. On the lighting side, Reolink rates the integrated floodlights at up to 3,000 lumens and includes adjustable color temperature options for a cooler or warmer look. A built-in siren is also part of the package, rated up to 110dB. Local AI video search, no subscription positioning. The headline feature is Reolink's local AI video search, marketed under its ReoNeura AI branding. Search and filtering are handled on-device, allowing users to retrieve events using text descriptions and object categories without cloud processing or recurring fees. The TrackFlex can identify common classes such as people, vehicles, animals, and packages directly on the device. This no-subscription approach stands out in a segment where AI-powered search is often tied to paid cloud plans, with Reolink leaning instead on local processing and local storage support. Motion detection beyond the camera's current view. Reolink also highlights out-of-view motion detection designed to catch activity outside the camera's immediate framing and trigger the camera to rotate toward it. This is described as using a 270-degree motion detection zone to prompt pan-and-tilt tracking. Awards and early reveal history. Although TrackFlex Floodlight WiFi is launching now for retail, it is not a first-time reveal. Reolink previously showcased the camera at IFA 2025, where it received multiple "Best of IFA" mentions and an IFA Innovation Awards honoree placement. Coverage from the show described it as a hardwired dual-lens floodlight camera with 4K recording, 360-degree pan-and-tilt, bright adjustable lighting, and local AI search as a key differentiator. Price and availability. The Reolink TrackFlex Floodlight WiFi is now available in the U.S., with pricing starting at $259.99 via Reolink.com and Amazon.

Reolink launches surveillance camera with discount, two cameras, powerful lighting and local AI

Reolink launches surveillance camera with discount, two cameras, powerful lighting and local AI. Reolink has just announced the launch of a new smart security camera. It offers AI-powered video search using keywords, even without a subscription, and features powerful lighting. Two lenses are on board. Silvio Werner ( translated by Jacob Fisher), Published 01/13/2026 Reolink will soon be offering a new surveillance camera, the Reolink TrackFlex Floodlight WiFi. Although not yet available, customers can pre-order and secure a 10% discount. The model will be officially released on March 2, in well over a month, and will be available from the manufacturer as well as via Amazon. The price is listed at $260. The camera comes with two lenses and sensors. A 4K ultra-wide-angle sensor is combined with a telephoto lens and is advertised as having a 6x hybrid zoom. The zoom lens is designed to capture details such as faces and license plates in high quality and with good legibility. The camera supports tilt and pan functions, allowing users to track people directly. The TrackFlex is advertised as having powerful lighting; the LEDs are said to deliver up to 3,000 lumens and can be controlled in terms of color temperature and brightness. Both warm and cool white light can be emitted, with warm white light generally being perceived as more pleasant. The camera can be controlled via voice commands and connects via WiFi on the 2.4 and 5 GHz bands. It is IP66-certified and hence suitable for outdoor use. Lastly, a local AI video search function is available at no subscription cost, allowing users to quickly find relevant footage using keyword searches. No comments for this article. My main profession is as a laboratory engineer, which is why neither scientific contexts nor the interpretation of complex measurements are foreign to me. Growing up in regional Australia, I first became acquainted with computers in my early teens after a broken leg from a football (soccer) match temporarily condemned me to a predominately indoor lifestyle. Soon afterwards I was building my own systems. Now I live in Germany, having moved here in 2014, where I study philosophy and anthropology. I am particularly fascinated by how computer technology has fundamentally and dramatically reshaped human culture, and how it continues to do so.
