Rise Incorporated

Nonprofit offering employment, housing, enrichment

Overview

Rise Incorporated is a nonprofit organization serving Minnesota and Western Wisconsin by providing employment opportunities, housing assistance, and life enrichment programs for adults with disabilities or other challenges. Its offerings are delivered through a coordinated set of support services that aim to address work, housing, and personal growth in a holistic way. The organization works through community engagement and accessible resources so that individuals can participate in meaningful activities and achieve a stable, purposeful life. Rise differentiates itself by integrating employment, housing support, and life-enrichment within a single, community-focused framework, rather than focusing on a single service. Its goal is to help adults facing various challenges build independence, secure stable housing, gain employment, and enjoy a fuller, more connected life through a steady network of support.

Champion Jaycie Benton supports financial accuracy.

Champion Jaycie Benton supports financial accuracy. Mar 30, 2026 Meet Jaycie Benton. February Champion of the Month and Senior Accountant Jaycie Benton joined Rise just over a year ago, starting in December 2024. With 24 years of experience in accounting and finance systems, she brought a wealth of knowledge and a dedicated, collaborative mindset to the accounting team. Before coming to Rise, Jaycie worked at organizations including St. Kate's, Minneapolis College of Art and Design, and Target Headquarters. She was drawn to Rise because of the culture and people. "It feels like every day, every interaction, and every person is important and valued at Rise," she said. "I am always impressed and inspired by the people here!" Jaycie's impact. As Senior Accountant, Jaycie plays a key behind-the-scenes role in ensuring Rise's financial systems run smoothly and accurately. She enjoys digging into complex issues and bringing clarity to the numbers, work that allows the entire organization to continue running smoothly. "I like digging into issues, balancing accounts, making sense of the financial picture created by the numbers, and helping others. I hope that these things make it a little easier for others to be able to focus on the work that they are great at," she shared. Jaycie's dedication was especially impactful during a critical transition period, when Rise was temporarily without a controller. For three months, she stepped up to perform all aspects of closing the billing and accounting systems. She learned new processes, completed detailed month-end entries, and prepared financials for publication, all while ensuring consistency and accuracy. Her supervisor, Sara Tomee, highlighted her impact. "Jaycie consistently steps up to help wherever needed," she shared. "Her positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to go above and beyond make a meaningful impact on our team and contribute greatly to Rise as a whole." Beyond her technical skills, Jaycie is known for her respectful, straightforward communication and her commitment to maintaining a positive work environment. Colleagues say she treats everyone with kindness and respect. She is open-minded, honest, direct, and her strong knowledge of her role makes her a great team member to work with. Jaycie collaborates readily, supports her team across functions, and continues to invest in her own professional growth. Jaycie outside of Rise. Outside of Rise, Jaycie has a wide range of interests and hobbies. She enjoys history and reading, playing with her cats, Butters and Kobe, tending to her houseplants, and heading up north to relax in the woods or on the lake.
