Rocky Boy Health Center provides primary care and a broad range of outpatient services to the Chippewa Cree people on the Rocky Boy’s Indian Reservation, functioning as a Tribal Federally Qualified Health Center under the Indian Health Service. It delivers medical, dental, optometry, pharmacy, lab, radiology, physical therapy, and behavioral health services, supported by telehealth options to reach patients who live far from the clinic. The center’s model combines IHS funding with federal grants and Medicaid expansion, guided by self-governance and a commitment to traditional healing and patient-centered care. Its goals include improving community health outcomes, expanding access with a larger facility and 24/7 urgent care, and promoting holistic youth wellness through programs like the planned Good Life Lodge Youth Center.
