Overview
SAR Academy & SAR High School runs a private, co-educational day school system in Riverdale with a dual curriculum that combines rigorous Judaic studies and General Studies for students from ages 2 through 18. It operates three divisions—the Early Learning Center, SAR Academy, and SAR High School—with an integrated program that includes Talmud, Tanakh, English, math, science, and arts, taught in a Beit Midrash-inspired, inquiry-based environment on an open-architecture campus. The school differentiates itself with its “grand conversation between Torah and the world” approach and Open Education design, emphasizing community, chesed, tzedek, and Medinat Yisrael, while funding itself through tuition and fundraising. Its goal is to cultivate lifelong independent learners who think critically, act ethically, and integrate Jewish values with modern knowledge to contribute to their communities.
