Overview

SDSU Research Foundation supports research, education, and community service at San Diego State University by administering grants and contracts for faculty-led projects. It works with researchers from the search for funding through proposal budgets, award administration, and the final audit. The nonprofit handles payroll and purchasing for sponsored projects and supplies facilities that house research teams. Its staff track spending against sponsor requirements and university rules, while a board of directors oversees the organization. Established in 1943, the foundation is a separate university auxiliary organization headquartered in San Diego, California.
