SGA Youth & Family Services provides a cycle-of-support for children and families in the Chicago area, offering parenting programs, early childhood education, mental health services, and workforce development to break the generational cycle of poverty. Using its Cycle of Opportunity framework, services connect across life stages—from parenting and early learning to job readiness—through partnerships, including with Chicago Public Schools, to help families access education, mental health support, and employment pathways. It differentiates itself with a long history dating back to 1911 and a lifecycle-based, community-anchored model delivered by a single organization in partnership with schools and local agencies, addressing both individual needs and broader community challenges. Its goal is to reduce poverty across generations by equipping children and families with education, mental health support, and employment opportunities to improve outcomes block by block.
