Salla provides an e-commerce platform that lets merchants create and manage online stores in the Middle East, especially Saudi Arabia, using a subscription SaaS model. Merchants sign up for monthly or yearly plans and use a web builder, payment gateway integration, inventory management, and marketing tools to run their stores in one place. It differentiates itself by focusing on regional needs—local payment options, language, and support—while catering to small startups and large enterprises with a simple pricing model. The goal is to help Middle Eastern merchants start and grow online businesses with an easy-to-use, locally tailored platform.

Saudi e-commerce platform Salla has acquired Saudi fintech Paylink to expand its financial services and payment capabilities. Financial terms were not disclosed. Founded in 2017, Paylink provides electronic payment solutions for businesses and merchants and is licensed by the Saudi Central Bank to provide e-commerce payment services. The acquisition will integrate Paylink's payments infrastructure with Salla's commerce ecosystem. Salla plans to develop payment acceptance and management solutions across online and physical sales channels. The company will expand its point-of-sale payment offering, including SoftPOS, whilst using Paylink's infrastructure to support international payments, multiple currencies and different payment methods. The move aims to enable Saudi merchants to reach customers beyond local markets.
Saudi Arabia-based ad tech startup Sweeply has raised $2 million in a seed funding round led by Salla and Sanabil 500 Global. The company uses AI and machine learning to optimise ad placements, enhance engagement, and maximise conversions across digital channels. Sweeply plans to use the investment to expand its team, accelerate product development, and strengthen its market position in the Arab region and globally. The platform offers features and tools that help businesses create, manage, and optimise content for digital campaigns. "Their investment reflects confidence in our vision to revolutionise ad technology with data-driven innovative solutions," said Wael Hassan, co-founder and chief executive officer of Sweeply.
Salla has acquired Sweply, a digital advertising solutions platform, in an undisclosed deal. As part of the acquisition, Sweply's team will join Salla. Sweply, founded in 2021, raised a Seed round of SAR 7.5 million in June 2024, with Salla as one of the investors.
Saudi Arabia-based SaaS provider Salla has raised a $130 million pre-IPO investment round, led by Investcorp, along with Sanabil Investment and STV.
