Kith x Salomon XT-EVO brings a bold new look to trail-inspired sneakers.

Kith x Salomon XT-EVO brings a bold new look to trail-inspired sneakers. August 5, 2026 A fashion and pop culture writer who watches a lot... Kith and Salomon are expanding their celebrated partnership with the debut of the Kith x Salomon XT-EVO, an entirely new silhouette that blends technical trail-running performance with contemporary streetwear design. Introduced as part of Kith's &Kin Fall 2026 collection, the collaboration showcases how the two brands continue to push beyond simple color updates by creating a model from the ground up that feels both innovative and instantly recognizable. Set to launch on August 7, the Kith x Salomon XT-EVO arrives in two exclusive colorways and pairs the trusted sole unit of the Salomon XT-6 with a completely redesigned upper featuring bold TPU protection and signature Quicklace technology. As trail-inspired sneakers remain one of the biggest influences in modern footwear, the release is already shaping up to be one of the standout collaborations of the season. Kith and Salomon unveil the all-new XT-EVO. Kith and Salomon have officially unveiled the XT-EVO, introducing a brand-new footwear model that marks another milestone in one of the industry's most successful partnerships. Rather than refreshing an existing silhouette with new materials or colors, the brands have developed an entirely original design that combines Salomon's trail-running expertise with Kith's premium lifestyle aesthetic. The reveal follows weeks of teasers shared by Kith founder Ronnie Fieg, who gave fans an early glimpse of the silhouette through social media. The official announcement confirms the XT-EVO as one of the headline releases in the upcoming &Kin Fall 2026 collection, continuing Kith's tradition of using seasonal collections to debut exclusive footwear collaborations. The launch also builds on the momentum of previous projects between the two brands, particularly the XT-Voyager, which first debuted through Kith in late 2024 before receiving a second iteration the following year. That success laid the groundwork for another exclusive model, making the XT-EVO a natural next step in the partnership's evolution. A fresh design built on proven performance. The defining feature of the Kith x Salomon XT-EVO is its hybrid construction. Instead of reinventing the entire shoe from scratch, Salomon retained the highly respected sole unit from the XT-6, a model known for delivering dependable cushioning, traction, and stability across a variety of surfaces. Above that familiar foundation sits an entirely new upper that dramatically changes the silhouette's identity. A molded TPU shell wraps around the lower half of the shoe, providing both protection and a bold visual statement. Sharp angular lines flow across the exterior, while diamond-patterned detailing underneath adds depth and texture that reinforce its technical appearance. Salomon's signature Quicklace system remains a key part of the design but has been repositioned slightly toward the midfoot. The subtle adjustment gives the shoe a distinctive look while maintaining the fast, secure fit that has become one of the brand's defining features. The result is a silhouette that feels equally at home on rugged trails and city streets, reflecting the growing demand for performance-inspired sneakers that easily transition into everyday wardrobes. Two exclusive colorways make their debut. The XT-EVO launches in two collaborative colorways that highlight different aspects of the model's bold design language. The first combines black, yellow, red, and blue for a vibrant, high-energy look that emphasizes the sculpted TPU overlays and technical details throughout the upper. The contrasting colors create a striking visual identity that reflects the adventurous spirit behind the collaboration. The second version opts for a more understated palette, blending shades of gray and purple for a cleaner, more versatile finish. While less colorful, it still allows the shoe's layered construction and futuristic design elements to stand out. Together, the two releases showcase Kith's ability to balance fashion-forward styling with Salomon's performance heritage, giving consumers two very different interpretations of the same innovative silhouette. Building on a strong creative partnership. The relationship between Kith and Salomon has steadily evolved beyond traditional collaborations. What began with reinterpretations of existing models has expanded into the development of entirely new footwear concepts designed specifically for the partnership. The XT-Voyager demonstrated how successful that approach could be, and now the Kith x Salomon XT-EVO pushes the collaboration even further by introducing a completely original model. It reflects Ronnie Fieg's ongoing vision of blending technical innovation with elevated lifestyle design while giving Salomon another opportunity to strengthen its growing influence within the fashion world. At the same time, Salomon continues to benefit from the increasing popularity of outdoor-inspired footwear. Once associated primarily with trail running and mountain sports, the brand has become a major player in contemporary sneaker culture thanks to collaborations with influential fashion labels and designers. As consumers continue embracing versatile sneakers that deliver both performance and everyday style, the XT-EVO arrives at an ideal moment. Shop editor's choice Release date and availability. The Kith x Salomon XT-EVO will officially launch on August 7, 2026, as part of the wider Kith &Kin Fall 2026 collection. Shoppers will be able to purchase the collaboration through the Kith app, Kith's online store, and Kith retail locations. Given the strong demand for previous releases between the two brands, the debut is expected to attract significant attention from both longtime Salomon fans and sneaker collectors eager to secure the latest exclusive drop. By combining the trusted XT-6 sole with a completely redesigned upper, premium materials, and two exclusive launch colorways, the Kith x Salomon XT-EVO delivers one of the year's most exciting footwear debuts. More than just another collaboration, it represents the continued evolution of performance-driven sneakers that blur the line between outdoor functionality and modern streetwear style. Beyond The Valley launches 2026 campaign with A game show twist.

Beyond The Valley launches 2026 campaign with A game show twist. Published on: 23rd July 2026 at 9:31 AM Victorian dance music festival Beyond The Valley has launched its 2026 campaign, 'Fortune Favours The Curious', placing the festival inside a fictional television universe dubbed the B.TV Network. This marks the third year running Untitled Group, which organises the festival, has built its launch around a narrative concept rather than straight festival footage. The launch video centres on 'Beyond The Briefcase', a game show pitting two teams against each other to win the BTV briefcase. In its final frames, the video teases the first name on the 2026 lineup: Dutch artist Ki/Ki, sound tracked by a snippet of her track What's a Girl to Do in '25. As ever, the festival is set to take place over the new year period. Two years ago the festival launched with the 'Life In Technicolour' campaign, a nod to Pleasantville and The Wizard of Oz. Last year's 'The Great Escape' leaned into the idea of "corporate dystopia" - an idea to which we simply cannot relate at B&T. Both stayed grounded in the real world. This year takes the next step, moving past the act of escaping and into what BTV conceives of as a post-escape world. This format shift has let Untitled Group "paint a picture and give people something to connect to," senior marketing manager Steph Mrmacoski told B&T. "'Fortune Favours The Curious' is about being that active participant in your life. Fortune is what you get when you participate and say yes to things," Mrmacoski said. That philosophy extends beyond the launch video itself. Fans can sign up for presale access to play Beyond The Briefcase online, a new interactive game show format that will drip-feed lineup Easter eggs and festival news, alongside five BTV experience packages up for grabs. It's an evolution from last year's Birthday Trail, the scavenger hunt built around the festivals tenth anniversary. Partner tie-ins are also woven through the game. Trendy hiking shoe brand Salomon gets a nod in the spot via the game show's runner character, a call-back to the BTV Run Club activation. When it was announced, the Run Club raised eyebrows, but proved successful. "It is a world within a world, and that world, of course, has a run club," Mrmacoski said. Eight briefcases will be won across the campaign period, each built around the festival's different partners including Bunnings, Triple J and The Daily Aus. While the campaign's creative idea is interesting and fun, it still needs to perform. Driving pre-sale purchases is essential for the festival - and essential for punters to avoid disappointment. Last year, BTV "sold out within an hour," of the full lineup being announced on 21 August according to Mrmacoski. That said, scarcity remains a powerful motivator of consumer sentiment and action. That scarcity plays a role in driving pre-sale sign ups. On-site, the 'Fortune Favours The Curious' theme will extend into two expanded activation zones, 'Main Street' and 'Downtown BTV', alongside the returning Valley Stage, The Dance Dome and the Dr Dan's stage. There is also a new area for attendees to enjoy, The Woods. Mrmacoski described it as a stage but "not in the traditional way that you might think of it". Bunnings is set to return "bigger" than last year, according to BTV. Salomon, meanwhile, is set to build on last year's much-discussed Run Club with the introduction of 'Base Camp', a Main Street destination for energy restoration. Festival favourites will also return, led by The Lounge Room alongside The Daily Aus' podcast programming. POOF DOOF, which bills itself as Australia's favourite queer party brand, will also return to Downtown BTV with 'Cirque Du Slay', serving nightly DJ sets, drag icons and the 'Yummy Crew'. The Palms Pool House and The Sanctuary, the festival's quieter areas, will also return. Jack Daniel's House Party will return with "extra surprises" and Red Bull's 'Unforeseen' has promised attendees a hidden party. The Smirnoff Schmall Klub will be back for its third year running with a new twist. The Daily Aus will join Beyond The Valley as the official pre-sale partner. "Starting the next decade of Beyond The Valley is something our whole team is incredibly excited about. Selling out our 10th anniversary edition in under an hour was a milestone moment we won't forget, and a true reflection of the incredible community that has grown with us over the past decade. We genuinely cannot wait to share what we have in store," said Untitled Group co-founder and managing partner Filippo Palermo. Accommodation spans general and premium camping, pre-pitched tents, and lux camp packages across classic, deluxe, ultra deluxe and the returning signature tier. Festival entry tickets are available in four-day, three-day, two-day, NYE-only and single-day options, with ticket and car pass bundles also returning. Beyond The Briefcase was conceived in-house, with production company Enamoured Iris handling execution. Two Dials, Zero Buckles, Even Pressure: Dual BOA Ski Boots Launch Across Brands

Two dials, zero buckles, even pressure: Dual BOA Ski Boots launch across brands. Jul 18, 2026 10:27 AM Two of the biggest brand names in ski boots both launched dual-BOA alpine boots today. K2 and Salomon released the new Cortex collection and S/Pro Supra Dual BOA, respectively, and, notably, neither boot uses a single traditional buckle. Instead, these techy alpine boots leverage two BOA fit system dials to independently adjust the tightness of the entire shell - fromtoe to cuff. These boots represent the first two dual BOA alpine ski boots. Salomon and K2 claim that the dual BOA design improves their boots fit, support, and performance. In its press release, Salomon called the dual BOA system a new benchmark in ski boot design. (Photo/Salomon) This is neither K2 nor Salomons first foray into BOA ski boots. Both brands already offer boots with one BOA dial on the shell that tightens around the wearers instep and foot. The cuff of those boots, however, uses traditional boot buckles. The new dual BOA system featured on the Cortex collection and S/Pro Supra has dials on both the lower shells and the upper cuffs, so wearers can incrementally adjust the tightness of the entire boot. (Photo/K2) "The dual BOA system used in this boot is a statement to our relentless pursuit of excellence, designing products that empower skiers with unparalleled control and comfort," Lauren Samuels, Salomon's North American alpine category manager, said in Salomons press release. This is the boot its freeride athletes have asked for - a performance-focused boot that blurs the edges of race boot and traditional low-volume boot performance and fit, Tom Pietrowski, K2s senior global ski boot product line manager, said in K2s press release. Salomon, K2, and BOA: Doubling Down on Dialing Fit (Photo/Salomon) BOA has been popular in snowboarding and backcountry ski boots for years, but it has only recently entered the world of alpine ski boots. In 2023, K2 released the first alpine boot with BOA, its Recon alpine ski boot. The brand called it the greatest innovation in ski boot technology in 60 years. Unlike traditional buckle systems, BOA applies more even pressure around the foot, hugging it rather than compressing it. (Photo/K2) Since then, almost every big-name brand has hopped aboard the BOA train. Atomic, Fischer, Nordica, Technica, Dalbello, and Salomon have all brought their own versions of BOA ski boots to market. However, until now, alpine boots only had one BOA dial for the shell and traditional buckles for the cuff. The K2 Mindbender has a second BOA on the liner, but the Mindbender still uses traditional buckles as well. That standard is changing, though. K2s Cortex collection and Salomons S/Pro Supra Dual BOA only use BOA fit systems. This allows the wearer to micro-adjust the fit of the entire boot, dialing it for maximized comfort. Both brands say in their press releases that a better fit also translates to better sensitivity and control over your skis. Dual BOA Boots Now Available (Photo/Salomon) On Wednesday, Jan. 15, K2 released the unisex Cortex ski boots in five versions. On its website, it has the K2 Cortex 140 Zonal BOA ($950), Cortex 130 Zonal BOA ($850), Cortex 120 Zonal BOA ($850), Cortex 125 W Zonal BOA ($850), and Cortex 105 W Zonal BOA ($850). Salomon released the S/Pro Supra Dual Boa alpine ski boot in two different stiffnesses for men and women. The womens boot ($900) has a stiffness of 105, and the mens ($950) is 120. Both are now available on the Salomon website. If youre in the market for new ski boots and want something comfortable, functional, and innovative, check out K2 and Salomons new dual BOA boots. You can compare them to other all-mountain alpine boots on GearJunkies guide to the Best Ski Boots. GearJunkie has yet to test either of the new dual BOA boots, but keep your eyes peeled for a review. This is technology well definitely get its hands onand feet into.
