Overview
Salvo Software provides custom software development solutions and team scaling/management services. It operates from Vancouver, WA and Guadalajara, Jalisco, offering development across multiple languages and project types. The core offering is delivering tailored software projects through client-specific teams, and enabling clients to scale their development capacity by augmenting and managing distributed teams as needed. This differs from competitors by combining nearshore/offshore capabilities in two regions and focusing on hands-on team scaling and management as part of the service. The goal is to help clients complete software projects efficiently by providing customized development work and scalable, well-managed teams.

Simplify's Take
What believers are saying
- PlugStar adoption improved for thousands of EV shoppers after the Feb. 2026 launch.
- Proteus and PlugStar target regulated, mission-critical niches with harder procurement and stickier renewals.
- Guadalajara nearshoring and broad hiring improve delivery capacity without heavy US payroll expansion.
What critics are saying
- Custom development is easily commoditized by Accenture, Globant, and freelance nearshore teams.
- One-off client projects create revenue volatility when PlugStar-style engagements end in 2026.
- If embedded and EV pipeline weakens, Salvo becomes a replaceable staff-augmentation shop.
What makes Salvo Software unique
- Feb. 2026 PlugStar showed Salvo shipping complex API platforms for EV infrastructure.
- Aug. 2025 Proteus work proves embedded firmware capability, not just generic web consulting.
- Aug. 2026 hiring spans OTX, ODX, and embedded engineers across Vancouver and Guadalajara.
