Overview

San Francisco University High School is an independent, coeducational day school in San Francisco that prepares students for college through a liberal arts and sciences education. Its curriculum combines academic study with visual and performing arts, while independent projects let students pursue questions beyond their regular classes. Mentoring and college counseling support students throughout high school, and the school runs Breakthrough Summerbridge, a tuition-free enrichment program for underserved middle school students. Tuition, donations and endowment income support teaching and financial aid. The nonprofit school was established in 1973 and opened in 1975 in San Francisco's Pacific Heights neighborhood.
