Software company Craxel to create 27 new Belfast-based jobs.

Software company Craxel to create 27 new Belfast-based jobs. 31 Mar 2026 The jobs are part of Craxel's long-term strategy to grow its presence across Europe. Craxel, a US digital analytics and technology company, has announced the creation of 27 "high quality" jobs out of a new Belfast-based IT and operations hub. The jobs are to be filled by 2028 and are aimed at software engineers, marketing executives, implementation specialists and sales executives. Founded in 2007, Craxel is headquartered in Virginia, US. The company develops high performance graph database solutions for clients across a range of industries, including in national security and financial intelligence. The announcement was made by Gary Connolly, the managing director at Craxel UK, who said, "We help organisations to solve complex data challenges by leveraging our patented Black Forest data platform. "The new IT and operations hub in Northern Ireland will help us to drive sales growth across the UK and Europe as part of our global expansion plans. Our new Belfast team will do this by building close relationships with key sectors such as financial services and defence." Hiring now. He added, "After evaluating a number of potential locations across the UK, we chose to invest in Northern Ireland because it gives us access to a deep pool of cybersecurity, data science and engineering talent. "Another major factor was the strength of the academic and research environment here. The expertise that Invest NI connected us to at Queen's University Belfast, particularly the Centre for Secure Information Technologies, stood out to us." The announcement was also welcomed by Elaine Curran, the director of trade and investment at Invest Northern Ireland. She explained that Craxel's focus on digital analytics and related tech is closely aligned with the region's "strengths in cybersecurity and software development", and that the company's "decision to establish its new hub in Belfast is a strong endorsement of our skilled talent base." Also in Belfast, in early February, SciLeads, a market-intelligence solutions provider for the global life sciences sector, announced plans to create 60 new fully remote jobs over the course of the next three years. The company explained that a strong 2025 had set SciLeads up for "major growth as it approaches its 10-year anniversary". By Laura Varley Laura Varley is the Careers editor at Silicon Republic.
