Perceptron, a decentralised AI data network, has raised $6.5 million in a strategic funding round. Investors include Sigma Capital, Selini Capital, QCP Capital, and P2 Ventures, among others. The platform allows AI companies to commission specialised datasets from a decentralised network of contributors. Perceptron currently has over 807,000 nodes and 300,000 daily active users. The company is launching a data-questing platform that enables AI firms to request specific datasets directly from its community, reducing collection time to days. Contributors own and can monetise their data without relying on third parties. The funding will support the platform launch, expand contributor infrastructure, and scale the network towards a target of 5 million nodes.
Cambrian, a blockchain data infrastructure startup, has raised $6 million in seed funding co-led by Franklin Templeton and Polychain Capital. Flow Traders, Selini Capital, Paper Ventures and Nomad Capital also participated, alongside angel investors. The round, structured as a SAFE with token warrants and closed last month, brings Cambrian's total funding to $11.9 million, including a $5.9 million pre-seed round led by a16z Crypto Startup Accelerator last year. Founded in 2024, Cambrian provides an API delivering real-time and historical blockchain data covering yield, risk, lending rates and market sentiment. The company plans to expand into a verifiable oracle network for institutions and AI agents. The platform currently indexes $4.5 billion in lending total value locked and supports Base and Solana, with Ethereum mainnet coming next.
Bitlayer, a Bitcoin Layer 2 solution, has secured $9 million in an extended Series A funding round led by Polychain Capital and co-led by Franklin Templeton. SCB Limited, Selini Capital and G-20 Group also participated. The extension brings Bitlayer's total capital raised to $25 million, following a $5 million seed round in March and $11 million Series A in July. The company has developed OpVM, a Bitcoin Layer 1 verification system combining validity proofs and fraud proofs that enables Bitcoin to validate arbitrary calculations. Co-founder Kevin He said the technology allows Bitcoin to integrate into programmable blockchain environments in a trustless manner. Bitlayer claims to be the first Layer 2 solution offering Bitcoin-equivalent security and Turing completeness, built on BitVM technology.
Tether has made a strategic investment in Supreme Liquid Labs, operator of Dreamcash, and partnered with Selini Capital to launch the first USDT0-backed HIP-3 RWA perpetual contract market on Hyperliquid. The new market offers contracts for the USA500 (S&P 500), gold, silver and ten major companies. The included firms are Tesla, Nvidia, Google, Amazon, Meta, Robinhood, Intel and Microsoft. The partnership marks the first implementation of USDT0-backed perpetual contracts using the HIP-3 standard for real-world assets on the Hyperliquid platform.
Fogo, an SVM Layer1 blockchain project, has received investment from GSR and Selini Capital. The funding amount was not disclosed. The company announced the investment but provided no further details about the deal terms or how the capital will be deployed.
