Send names Daniel Pass Chief Technology Officer. Pass will lead technology strategy and platform development to support Send's global growth and scalability. (Daniel Pass, no relation to Joe. Send Technology Solutions Ltd (London) has appointed Daniel Pass as Chief Technology Officer to lead the company's technology strategy and oversee the continued development of its insurance platform. Pass joins Send from London-based mortgage bank Perenna, where he had served as Chief Technology Officer, guiding the firm through its launch with a focus on secure, scalable systems. He previously held senior roles at Cheshire-based bookmaker Betfred as Technical Director and Chief Architect, and has led large-scale architecture and transformation initiatives across startups, scale-ups, and FTSE 100 companies. In his new role, Pass will be responsible for advancing Send's platform architecture, enhancing functionality, and enabling scalable growth as the company expands its international footprint. "Send is driving significant and tangible change in the insurance market," says Pass. "I was immediately impressed by their award-winning underwriting platform, but also by the appetite for growth and continuous innovation that runs through the business. As a 'tech person' through and through, I know I've found the right fit for my own values and skills, and I can't wait to support Send in delivering the next generation in insurance platforms." "The right CTO is essential for any fast-growing InsurTech company," says Andy Moss, Chief Executive Officer, Send. "That person needs to not only understand our mission and technology, but also have the vision to support our ambitions, and the expertise to scale our offering as we grow. Dan has all of these important qualities and the necessary experience to help us achieve our international ambitions."
Leading InsurTech Send Technology Solutions Ltd (Send) has successfully obtained both SOC 2 (System and Organisation Controls) and ISO 27001 certifications, joining an elite group of just 13% of SaaS providers with dual accreditations. These accreditations represent a significant milestone in Send’s ongoing commitment to robust standards of data security, transparency, reliability, integrity, and customer trust. The achievement of SOC 2 in particular underscores Send’s continued expansion in the US market, as compliance has become a critical standard in the US for technology companies seeking to demonstrate rigorous data protection practices. To achieve SOC 2 Type 2 compliance, companies must demonstrate that they have implemented effective controls and processes that align with the five Trust Services Criteria (TSC): security, availability, processing integrity, confidentiality, and privacy.Send was initially awarded the internationally recognised ISO 27001 certification in 2022, but has now renewed its certification under the more rigorous and updated 2022 standards.Ben Huckel, co-founder and Chief Operating Officer of Send, spearheaded the accreditation process. He stated: “In an era of increasing cyber threats and data vulnerabilities, achieving SOC 2, in addition to our renewed ISO 27001 certification, isn’t just a checkbox exercise; it’s a long-term promise to our customers. It gives them confidence that their sensitive data is protected by rigorous, independently verified security standards. In the global InsurTech landscape, where less than 15% of companies achieve this level of dual certification, we’re not just meeting expectations, we’re setting a new benchmark for responsible technology that puts data protection at the heart of innovation.”
Send Technology Solutions Ltd (London) has named Steve Ritchie as Chief Revenue Officer, an appointment that the company says constitutes a significant step in its strategy to expand in North America and scale globally.
Send Technology Solutions (Send), a UK-based Insurtech software company, has partnered with Deloitte to deliver Send's underwriting workbench platform to commercial and specialty carriers worldwide.
