ShipBob has launched an end-to-end AI suite integrated across its entire fulfilment stack, anchored by what it calls the first Anthropic-verified fulfilment connector. The Chicago-based supply chain platform introduced ShipBob AI, which operates through an open layer called MCP that connects AI tools to live merchant operations. The suite includes Bobby, an in-dashboard agent currently in beta, and a verified connector for Claude that offers read and write access to 70-plus actions across merchant operations. ShipBob is also deploying autonomous mobile robots across its warehouse network and developing AI-powered cameras to inspect returned items. The company has built its technology internally since 2014 rather than acquiring third-party solutions. ShipBob's MCP already handles thousands of merchant requests daily, from tracking orders to bulk-updating stuck shipments. Bobby will be generally available in autumn 2026.
ShipBob has launched its largest seasonal product release, headlined by ShipBob Promise, a delivery date engine trained on hundreds of millions of shipments across its global network. The system uses real-time fulfillment centre data and dynamically prioritises orders to maintain accurate delivery promises, aiming to increase conversion rates whilst reducing support costs. The release also introduces TrackBob, a branded tracking experience extending visibility from warehouse to doorstep across all carriers. The platform addresses "Where is my order?" queries, which account for 30-40% of e-commerce support tickets at $5-22 per ticket. Additional features include AI-powered returns inspection, QR code return labels and restocking automation. ShipBob Promise enters beta in May 2026 for US shipments, with global expansion planned. The company has fulfilled over one billion units across its network spanning the US, Canada, UK, EU and Australia.
ARC, a division of ChargeItSpot, is deploying its smart locker technology across all ShipBob fulfilment centres following a pilot programme that delivered a 40% increase in associate productivity. The pilot at ShipBob's North Aurora, Illinois facility reduced device shrinkage by 63%, cut device pick-up and return times by 84%, and decreased manager time spent tracking devices by 97%. ShipBob, a global supply chain and fulfilment platform, deployed ARC's system to manage thousands of handheld devices used by warehouse associates. The smart locker solution combines charging lockers with proprietary device management software to ensure devices remain charged, secure and accessible. The technology addresses operational challenges including missing devices, battery depletion and manual oversight requirements that previously resulted in lost time and reduced output across fulfilment operations.
Patnaude joins ShipBob from Grubhub, a leading online food delivery marketplace, where he spent the last nine years in various financial and strategic roles, including the last four as CFO.
