Empowering choice: how public and Snappi Pay Later are reshaping the shopping experience.

Empowering choice: how public and Snappi Pay Later are reshaping the shopping experience. Today's consumers are looking for more product choices. They want greater flexibility, simplicity, and control over how they shop. Through Snappi's partnership with Public, this new expectation is transformed into a comprehensive shopping experience. At Snappi, Snappibank believe that better financial choices unlock better everyday experiences. That's why its partnership with Public marks an important milestone. Not only by expanding payment options, but by also redefining how people shop, decide, and move forward with confidence. To explore this shift, Snappibank spoke with Christos Skoularikos, Services & Business Development Director at Public, about customer expectations, trust, and the role of flexibility in today's retail experience. A Shared Vision: Empowering People Through Choice As one of the largest omnichannel retailers of technology, home appliances, and entertainment in Greece and Cyprus, Public continues to invest in services that simplify every stage of the shopping experience, from product discovery to payment and delivery. This philosophy is fully aligned with Snappi's approach, which develops financial tools that don't create barriers for customers but instead give them more options. "Customers don't just evaluate the product they're buying. They evaluate the entire experience. Our goal is to remove any unnecessary hurdles from this journey and offer solutions that make their daily lives easier," says Christos Skoularikos, Services & Business Development Director at Public. Today's consumers are looking for more than just products. They expect: * Freedom to choose * Frictionless shopping experiences * Real value for money * Flexible ways to pay, tailored to their needs Together, Snappi and Public are responding to these expectations with solutions that put the customer firmly in control. Bringing Flexibility to Every Purchase With Snappi Pay Later now available at Public stores and on public.gr, customers can split their purchases into four interest-free installments directly at checkout, seamlessly through the Snappi app. No additional accounts. No extra steps. Just a simple, integrated way to manage spending. Whether it's a new smartphone, a laptop, a home appliance, or any other major purchase, customers can proceed with greater confidence by choosing the payment method that best suits their needs. "Flexible payment solutions aren't just an add-on service. They're an integral part of the modern retail experience and the overall value a brand offers its customers," notes Christos Skoularikos. Removing Friction, Adding Confidence One of the key challenges in modern retail is striking a balance between a wide range of options and simplicity. When the checkout process creates obstacles, the experience loses its value. Snappi Pay Later addresses this directly by: * Removing friction from the purchase journey * Giving customers control over how and when they pay * Delivering a seamless, fully digital experience The result? Shopping feels easier, faster, and more aligned with real-life needs. Building Trust Through Experience Trust sits at the heart of both Snappi and Public. It's not just about secure transactions, it's about creating an environment where customers feel understood, supported, and confident in their decisions. Snappi's fully digital banking model - licensed by the European Central Bank - has been designed with strong principles of transparency, security, and responsible credit at its core. For Public, trust is reflected in something even more tangible: customers coming back again and again, knowing they will find the right products, services, and experiences for every stage of their lives. What Makes a "Good Purchase" Today? In a world of endless choice, a good purchase is no longer just about price or product. It's about feeling confident in the decision. A good purchase means: * Moving forward without hesitation * Feeling in control of your finances * Choosing what truly fits your needs By combining Public's customer-centric retail experience with Snappi's flexible payment solutions, Snappibank is helping people achieve exactly that. Looking Ahead Since launching Pay Later in November 2025, Snappi has rapidly expanded its ecosystem, partnering with more than 100 merchants across e-commerce. The collaboration with Public represents another step forward in making flexible, transparent financing accessible where it matters most, right at the point of decision. Because at the end of the day, innovation only matters when it makes life simpler, and gives people the power to choose.

Snappi x Cacao Rocks: how we turned a milestone into art.

Snappi x Cacao Rocks: how Snappibank turned a milestone into art. During the Snappi Ioannina Festival, Snappibank partnered with acclaimed street artist Cacao Rocks to create an original artwork celebrating its 100.000-customer milestone. Snappibank chose Ioannina because it's the very city where its journey started and Snappibank is incredibly proud to share that this piece has now been officially donated to the University of Ioannina. Bringing the Story Back to Where It Began The artwork has found its permanent home at the Institute of Economic Analysis and Social Economy, located within the University's Research and Innovation Center. There, it will live out in the open, experienced daily by students, researchers, and visitors alike. This is a meaningful homecoming. Long before Snappi became one of Greece's fastest-growing digital banking brands, it was just a spark born right here in Ioannina city that continues to inspire Snappibank every day. "This artwork represents much more than a milestone for Snappi. It reflects what can be achieved in Greece through collaboration, innovation, and the strength of local ecosystems. For Ioannina, this is both a tribute and a heartfelt thank you to the people, institutions, and talent that continue to inspire us. The academic community plays a vital role in shaping the future, and we're delighted that this piece will now become part of students' everyday lives." - Niki Chiou, Deputy CEO of Snappi More Than a Piece of Art The artwork is a vibrant, contemporary interpretation of the local region. What started as a celebration of its own growth has evolved into a daily reminder that innovation doesn't happen in isolation. It thrives where people, institutions, and fresh ideas meet. As Snappi expands across Greece, Snappibank remain committed to investing back into the local communities and ideas shaping the country's future. Progress simply means more when you bring others along with you. Meet the Artist: Cacao Rocks Behind its Ioannina artwork is one of Greece's most celebrated contemporary urban artists, Cacao Rocks or Yassonas Megoulas. Based in Athens and raised between Piraeus and Corfu, Cacao Rocks discovered graffiti as a teenager through hip-hop and skate culture. After winning a Greenpeace graffiti competition at a young age, he began experimenting across a massive range of mediums, from sculpture and video art to large-scale street murals. His artwork ranges from painting, sculptures, installations to video art and performances. He has also created full artwork and branding for musicians as well as international brands. His work has been exhibited at institutions like the Benaki Museum and the Onassis Foundation, and featured in outlets like The New York Times, Reuters, BBC, and National Geographic Traveller, where he was dubbed a "Graffiti Guru." From designing for WeTransfer to lecturing at the University of Michigan, Cacao Rocks has always used art to transform everyday spaces into moments of connection and curiosity. That is exactly why this collaboration felt so right for Snappi. Looking Ahead Banking and street art don't often share the same sentence, but they both rely on the same things: people, trust, and the willingness to build something new. This artwork stands as a celebration of how far Snappi has come, but it's also a nod to where all meaningful ideas begin: in classrooms, campus conversations, and communities willing to dream a little bigger. Now, in the halls of the University of Ioannina, Snappibank hope that story continues to inspire the next generation walking through its doors.
