Snapping Shoals EMC is a member-owned electric cooperative that delivers electricity to residential and commercial customers across parts of eight counties southeast of Atlanta, Georgia. It operates on a non-profit, at-cost model, returning remaining margins to members as capital credits based on their electricity usage. Beyond power, it offers additional services through partnerships, including natural gas with Walton Gas, EMC Security, a generator program, surge protection, security lighting, energy-efficiency rebates, and a solar farm with sheep-based vegetation management. Its goal is to provide reliable, affordable electricity and value-added services while reinvesting margins back to the community through capital credits.
