Overview

Spanish Peaks Regional Health Center is a public community hospital serving Huerfano County and surrounding areas in southern Colorado. Its critical access hospital combines inpatient treatment with emergency and trauma care, surgery, imaging and rehabilitation, while clinics extend primary and specialty care into nearby communities. The organization also runs a retail pharmacy and a veterans living center for veterans and eligible family members from across the country. Governed by the Huerfano County Hospital District, it traces its healthcare operations to 1963 and opened its present campus in 1993. It is headquartered in Walsenburg, Colorado.
