SquarePeg, a Utah-based talent acquisition company, has raised $3.5M in seed funding to develop AI candidate screening tools for recruiters. The funding will help build a product for mid-market companies, using LLM technology to score, evaluate, and process applicants quickly. The seed round was led by Next Frontier Capital, with participation from Acadian Ventures, Bread & Butter Ventures, and Silicon Road Ventures, along with existing investors. SquarePeg is testing the product with customers.
Almost all of DeepMind's founder alumni have — unsurprisingly — launched startups in the AI space since leaving the company.
