Before that, he spent almost six years at Crowe Horwath working with captives. Smith now manages a portfolio of captive insurance companies and risk retention groups, overseeing financial reporting, operations, compliance and corporate governance for each entity. Arcangel moves up from consultant, a role he holds at SRS since 2023. As director, he runs feasibility studies, leads captive formations and redomestications, and supports captive underwriting and AM Best BCAR modelling. He works as an independent advisor helping companies assess whether a captive is appropriate for their business. Before joining SRS, Arcangel spends seven years at the North Carolina Department of Insurance, where he most recently serves as chief captive analyst, holding final financial oversight for more than 1,000 captive risk-bearing entities domiciled in the state. He joins the department in 2016 as a captive insurance financial analyst and progresses through senior and supervising analyst roles before becoming chief captive analyst in 2022. Prior to that he serves as an auditor at the North Carolina Department of Commerce. SRS is an independent insurance management firm with representation in onshore and offshore domiciles, providing financial reporting, regulatory compliance and underwriting management services to captive insurance companies.

Based in Charlotte, North Carolina, Doughty joins the independent insurance management firm from Aon, where she serves as an account executive within the captive and insurance management team. During her tenure at Aon, she leads financial reporting for client accounts and acts as the primary contact for various departments to ensure quality and timeliness in financial reporting and regulatory requirements. Doughty brings extensive captive management experience to the role, having previously spent more than seven years at Atlas Insurance Management. At Atlas, she held several positions including senior manager and senior finance account manager. Earlier in her career, she served as an assurance resource senior associate at PricewaterhouseCoopers. In addition to her corporate roles, Doughty is an active member of the captive community, previously serving as a board member and secretary for the North Carolina Captive Insurance Association (NCCIA). SRS is the world's largest independent insurance company manager, supporting more than 1,300 insurance entities globally. The firm provides financial reporting, regulatory compliance and underwriting management services to captive insurance companies across all major onshore and offshore domiciles.
MedImpact acquires MSL Captive Solutions and SRS Benefit Partners from SRS. Acquisition of the two brands focused on medical stop-loss captive solutions by MedImpact Holdings extends its portfolio of care and coverage solutions MHW Benefit Partners (formerly SRS Benefit Partners) and MSL Captive Solutions have both been acquired by MedImpact Holdings Inc. Both businesses were previously owned by Strategic Risk Solutions. MedImpact is one of the US' largest independent health solutions and pharmacy benefit companies. MHW Benefit Partners helps small and mid-sized businesses, working independently or in groups, form, grow, and evolve captives, consortiums, and other employee benefit programmes. MSL Captive Solutions provides medical stop-loss insurance to protect self-insured employers from potentially catastrophic healthcare claims. Partnering with A-rated insurance companies, it underwrites individual employer stop-loss and captive programmes. Announcing the deals, MedImpact stated they expand its portfolio of care and coverage solutions, "providing employers with modular, cost-effective alternatives to traditional insurance carriers." "By integrating specialised risk management and alternative financing, MedImpact offers small and mid-sized businesses the transparency, flexibility, and cost control typically reserved for large, self-insured corporations," the company said. The two companies join MG Insurance as MedImpact's main risk management and underwriting brands, providing captive programmes and stop-loss protections. "Small and mid-sized businesses today struggle to manage runaway healthcare costs with the inflexible and opaque traditional insurance programmes," said Zach Johnson, MedImpact executive vice president. "We are putting power back in the hands of employers by giving them innovative alternatives, transparency, flexibility, and total control."

In his new role, De Giovanni provides strategic leadership and operational oversight to drive the firm's growth, performance, and regulatory compliance. De Giovanni works closely with the board, senior leadership, and key stakeholders to deliver the business plan and support new business initiatives. With more than 28 years of experience as a qualified accountant, De Giovanni specialises in insurance management, a field he has focused on since 2008. He joins SRS from Aon, where he held several senior leadership roles over nearly 18 years. His most recent position was director of client solutions for EMEA, a role he held from December 2022 to December 2025. During his tenure at Aon, De Giovanni also served as managing director of the firm's captive and insurance management office in Malta, where he was responsible for developing Aon's local offering. His extensive experience includes establishing and managing captive and self-retention insurance structures, leading client relationships, and driving innovation across international markets. De Giovanni also sits on several captive and protected cell company (PCC) boards. Commenting on his appointment via LinkedIn, De Giovanni says: "Today marks the start of an exciting new chapter as I take on the role of Managing Director at Strategic Risk Solutions, based in Malta."
