Olaplex names new CEO as Amanda Baldwin exits.

Olaplex names new CEO as Amanda Baldwin exits. Christoph Kaul will focus on driving innovation at Olaplex, which was acquired by German consumer goods giant Henkel in a $1.4 billion deal in March 2026 Olaplex has named Christoph Kaul as CEO, succeeding Amanda Baldwin who had led the professional hair care brand's turnaround since 2023. He has more than 13 years' experience at Henkel and most recently served as Regional Head of Strategy and Transformation in the US. Tickets are now available for the 25th anniversary of the Pure Beauty Awards, taking place on 15 October 2026 at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London, UK. Join the beauty industry for an evening of recognition and celebration as this year's winners are revealed. Click here to secure your place Prior to this, Kaul spent more than five years at French beauty giant L'Oréal, including roles as product manager between January 2010 and February 2013. Kaul announced his appointment in a LinkedIn post, and wrote: "I am excited and honoured to share that I have been appointed to lead the incredible team at Olaplex. "It is a special opportunity to build on the extraordinary foundation created by Amanda Baldwin and her entire team. "I have tremendous respect for what they have built, and I am grateful to have the opportunity to carry that work forward." Baldwin, a former CEO at skin care brand Supergoop!, helmed the business during a challenging number of years for the professional hair care business. Sales at the business, founded in 2014 by hair veteran Dean Christal, have struggled amid growing competition in the science-focused hair and scalp care market. Separately, the brand was also mired in legal challenges, which previously included a class action lawsuit over hair loss but saw a court grant Olaplex the motion to sever and dismiss the claims. However, Olaplex has seen shoots of recovery following the launch of its 'Bonds and Beyond' strategy to get the business back on track. This is focused on three pillars - generating brand demand, harnessing innovation and executing with excellence. On top of its acquisition by Henkel, the brand also entered the fragrance category in June, with a mist based on the scent of its hair care range. Kaul continued in the LinkedIn post: "I am looking forward to working closely with the Olaplex leadership team and the broader organisation as we continue our focus on innovation and delivering the performance, quality, and results our customers and consumers trust. "A big thank you to the entire Olaplex team for the incredibly warm welcome. "I am excited for this next chapter and all that we can accomplish together."

The newly created role marks an important step in Supergoop!'s next phase of growth as the company expands its reach and builds toward its ambition to become a leading skin health brand globally. Reporting to Chief Executive Officer Melis del Rey, Parker will lead Supergoop!'s global commercial organization across retail, e-commerce and retail marketing, bringing the company's channels and customer partnerships together under one integrated commercial strategy. He will be responsible for accelerating growth across Supergoop!'s existing business, expanding access to the brand, strengthening strategic retail partnerships and building the capabilities needed to deliver a consistent, best-in-class consumer experience wherever consumers discover and shop Supergoop!. Parker will also lead the company's commercial strategy internationally as Supergoop! selectively expands its presence in priority global markets. He will be based in New York. Parker brings a distinctive combination of experience spanning prestige and mass beauty, brick-and-mortar retail and e-commerce, commercial leadership and brand marketing, as well as U.S. and international markets. He joins Supergoop! from Coty, where he most recently served as SVP, U.S. General Manager, with full P&L responsibility for the company's U.S. Consumer Beauty business. Previously, he led Coty's global e-commerce and digital strategy, including its partnership with Amazon and the launch of its prestige portfolio in the Amazon Premium Beauty Store. Combined with his track record of building businesses and leading transformation across markets, that makes him uniquely suited to help us scale Supergoop! while preserving what makes this brand so special." "Supergoop! has done something rare: it has transformed the way consumers think about an entire category and built a genuine daily habit around something that was historically an afterthought," said Parker. "That creates an extraordinary platform for growth. I'm excited to bring together Supergoop!'s commercial organization around one connected global strategy, deepen our partnerships, reach new consumers and help build the next chapter of this remarkable brand." New Stuff alert: Alex Mill made perfect raffia accessories.

New Stuff alert: Alex Mill made perfect raffia accessories. May 6, 2026 For this week's Don't Dillydally, we've rounded up a range of newly released products we're particularly excited about, including a new Baggu style, breezy poplin staples from With Nothing Underneath, and a kit to make your kid's stroller vacation-ready. New! You can now save this product for later. Strategist updates coordinator Najwa Jamal dropped this collaboration into Slack and immediately had me coveting many of the pieces With Nothing Underneath created with interior designer - and generally chic woman-about-town - Lucy Williams. I'm eyeing the oversize button-up with drawstring poplin shorts and pants: my ideal easy, breezy summer outfit. Swedish candy brand Bubs has teamed up with H&M to make some cute, affordable candy-scented beauty essentials, like glossy lip oils in Raspberry Licorice, Watermelon, Berry Vanilla, and Bubblegum. There are also some accessories, like a bag charm and hair clip. Supergoop introduced a new scent and shade of its lip gloss, Caramel Glaze, a "maple brown tint" - and yes, it's still sheer, high gloss, and SPF 40. New season, new drop from Alex Mill. The Summer Chapter 1 collection features lots of linen in saturated hues and breathable cotton layers. But perhaps most exciting is a couple of new raffia accessories: this everyday (but still vacation-ready) tote and perfect bucket hat. For the month of May, Abbode has launched a real-life activation with New York City's beloved pharmacy C.O. Bigelow (yes, the one Carolyn Bessette Kennedy used to frequent). But there's good news for those outside the city: You can shop the products online too. There's an array of pouches (in leather and a waffle weave) embroidered with words like "Doctor's Orders" and "Hair Stuff" with corresponding images - though you can also customize your own. Don't forget to add classic C.O. Bigelow products to your cart before you check out, too. This collection of men's pieces includes four graphic shirts and four embroidered denim pieces, including carpenter pants, a jacket, a short-sleeved button-up work shirt, and a zip-up vest. Stokke's latest innovation for its Yoyo stroller - our best less-expensive lightweight stroller for toddlers - is this attachable seat and canopy set in bright, bold awning stripes. The kit comes in vibrant orange or green and includes a matching parasol and tote. Senior writer Liza Corsillo just got her hands on one and says, "It's got a bit of a '60s vacation in Montpelier kind of vibe. And easy to pick out of a lineup of all-black strollers." Susan Alexandra's signature beading can make anything look charming, including these cup carriers made in collaboration with McDonald's. I guess there's just something about pearls covering a Blackberry Passion Fruit Refresher. Choose from six styles, each inspired by a different drink. Baggu just released this smaller version of its Meringue bag, plus some fun new prints across many styles. I'm especially loving the sage stripe. I'm leaving you on a somewhat absurdly priced but fun note, which is this collaboration between Murano glassware company Laguna~B and Dusen Dusen. You can opt for a striped glass, a Monsters, Inc.-esque pitcher with one eye, or the set (with an extra glass included). The Strategist is designed to surface useful, expert recommendations for things to buy across the vast e-commerce landscape. Every product is independently selected by our team of editors, whom you can read about here. We update links when possible, but note that deals can expire and all prices are subject to change.
