Top 10 Customer Data Platforms for ai-driven marketing in 2026.

Top 10 Customer Data Platforms for ai-driven marketing in 2026. Published: September 03, 2026 at 11:55 pm Updated: September 04, 2026 at 7:33 am Edited and fact-checked: September 03, 2026 at 11:55 pm Nearly every customer data platform on the market promises the same thing: a single, unified view of the customer, pulled together from a website, an app, a call center, a loyalty program, wherever. Whether that promise actually holds up depends on things that don't show up in a sales deck: how good the identity resolution really is, whether the data lives in a vendor's servers or your own warehouse, and increasingly, who even owns the company anymore. The CDP market went through a real wave of consolidation over the last couple of years, and it shows in who's still standing independently and who isn't. Here are ten platforms actually running inside marketing and data teams right now. Adobe's CDP is the obvious answer for any organization already deep into Adobe Experience Cloud. It unifies known and pseudonymous data into real-time profiles, supports both streaming and batch ingestion, and leans on Adobe Sensei for predictive segmentation and lookalike modeling. It's added federated data access to warehouses like Snowflake, BigQuery, and Databricks too, so it's not entirely walled off from the rest of a company's stack anymore. The honest catch is implementation time (six to twelve months is typical), and the platform's value really only shows up fully once it's paired with the rest of Adobe's tools like Target and Analytics, which is exactly the lock-in critics point to. Salesforce Data 360 does what you'd expect from the name: it pulls in data from marketing, sales, service, and commerce systems and resolves it into a single profile, with Einstein layered on top for predictive scoring and next-best-action recommendations. What's changed lately is zero-copy sharing with external cloud warehouses, so companies aren't forced to duplicate all their data inside Salesforce just to use it. Complexity is the recurring complaint here. It's a genuinely capable platform, but not one a small marketing team spins up casually without technical help, and its clearest advantage still shows up for organizations already running Sales Cloud and Service Cloud. Segment built its reputation on being the developer's CDP: an enormous connector catalog, clean documentation, and an event-tracking model that engineering teams actually enjoy working with rather than tolerate. It's been part of Twilio for a while now, which has given it distribution but has also made it something of a perpetual acquisition-rumor subject in martech circles, the kind of asset people periodically speculate Twilio might eventually spin back out. For teams whose CDP decision starts with engineering rather than marketing, Segment is still usually the first name that comes up. Its strength has always been the tracking API itself (instrument once, send data everywhere), which is a genuinely different proposition than a marketer-facing drag-and-drop segmentation tool, and it's why so many product and engineering teams reach for it before anyone in marketing even gets involved in the decision. Tealium has positioned itself deliberately differently from the suite vendors: it doesn't try to own the marketing execution layer, it tries to sit neutrally underneath a company's entire, often messy, multi-vendor martech stack and route data cleanly between everything else. That neutrality, plus a real focus on zero-party data and consent governance, is part of why Tealium was named a Leader in the 2026 Forrester Wave and is one of the larger CDPs that's stayed independent while several peers got bought up. It's a strong fit specifically for companies with complicated, multi-tool environments who don't want their data platform also trying to be their campaign tool. Treasure Data has built out what it calls a complete-plus-composable architecture: real-time profiles, native messaging across channels like email, SMS, and push, embedded AI decisioning through what it now brands Treasure AI, alongside a more composable option for teams that want to query data where it already lives rather than copy it in. It stayed one of the larger independent CDPs through a period when a lot of its peers got acquired, which says something about having found a defensible niche around handling genuinely large, complex data volumes rather than trying to be the friendliest, simplest option on the market. Hightouch made its name on reverse ETL: syncing data that already lives in a company's own warehouse out to the downstream tools that need it, rather than requiring a separate copy inside a proprietary CDP database. That architecture bet paid off: it was named a Leader in the 2026 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Customer Data Platforms, an unusual result for a composable vendor going up against much larger packaged suites. It's added AI Decisioning and adaptive identity resolution on top of the core reverse-ETL engine, and its pitch to data teams is straightforward: keep your data where it already is, governed the way it already is, and let Hightouch handle activation. Klaviyo took a different route entirely: building itself as an all-in-one CDP-plus-email-and-SMS platform aimed squarely at eCommerce. It's grown into a genuinely massive business with a valuation north of $8 billion and well over a hundred thousand customers, most of them small and mid-market online retailers. It rarely shows up in the enterprise analyst reports Adobe or Salesforce dominate, mostly because its whole design center is different: deep Shopify integration, pre-built revenue reporting, predictive lifetime value scoring baked in without needing a separate BI tool. For a DTC brand, Klaviyo is often the only "CDP" they'll ever need to evaluate. It's worth noting analysts like Forrester and Gartner often leave it out of enterprise CDP evaluations entirely, not because it's weak but because its feature set and customer base skew so heavily toward eCommerce that comparing it directly to something like Adobe or Salesforce Data Cloud isn't really an apples-to-apples exercise. Bloomreach blends CDP capability with marketing automation and commerce search in one contract, which is exactly the pitch for brands that don't want to stitch three separate vendors together to run personalized campaigns. It's leaned into the data-warehouse trend too, announcing direct integration with Databricks for activating data straight out of the lakehouse rather than requiring a full migration into Bloomreach's own environment first. Users consistently point to its personalization engine and interface as standout strengths, which is probably why it shows up so often on user-review sites even though it doesn't always get grouped with the biggest enterprise analyst names. mParticle built its name as a mobile-first CDP, strong specifically at real-time event streaming and identity resolution across apps. It got swept into the CDP consolidation wave when Rokt( an ecommerce advertising company, not a traditional martech vendor) acquired it for $300 million in early 2025. That's an unusual buyer for a CDP, and the logic Rokt gave was blunt: it wanted the real-time profile data close to where transaction decisions actually happen, not as an arm's-length marketing tool. Since the acquisition it's launched a hybrid CDP running on Snowflake, combining its real-time roots with warehouse-native flexibility, which suggests Rokt is actually investing in the roadmap rather than just harvesting the technology. ActionIQ built its reputation as a warehouse-native platform with a strong visual audience builder that enterprise marketers genuinely liked, which is part of why it kept showing up on shortlists as one of the more governance-minded independent CDPs. It was snapped up by Uniphore in late 2024, and since then it's been shifted away from being a classic marketing CDP. Now it's more about fueling AI agents and contact-center use cases than standing alone as a traditional CDP. It's a useful example of where a lot of this category is heading: the CDP increasingly treated as fuel for something else's AI, rather than the headline product itself. mParticle, Lytics, and ActionIQ were all bought up within about a month of each other during that consolidation stretch, and none of the buyers were traditional martech companies, which is probably the clearest signal of where the real strategic value of unified customer data is now seen to sit. Tealium expands agentic capabilities to bring governed customer context to any AI platform.

Tealium expands agentic capabilities to bring governed customer context to any AI platform. Tealium introduces Configuration MCP, a natural-language interface in Tealium Studio, and a suite of Platform APIs through its Developer Portal. San Diego, Aug. 31, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) - Tealium, the leading customer data orchestration platform, today announced new agentic platform capabilities, including an enhanced user experience with Tealium Studio, the Tealium Configuration MCP, and the Developer Portal with a full set of Platform APIs. This expansion enables teams new ways to build, contextualize, and act on customer data while enforcing strict governance and consent. Tealium already enables AI agents to access trusted customer context through MCP via its Context API. The new Configuration MCP takes this a step further, enabling agents not only to use Tealium data, but also to build and modify configurations within the platform. This enables enterprises to use any preferred AI tool: Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, or any MCP-compatible system. The expansion also includes Tealium Studio, a natural language interface. Tealium Studio can quickly explain a data flow, visualize an audience, recommend a next step, or configure a setting. Now available through the Developer Portal, Tealium's new Platform APIs include built-in authentication, security, documentation, and enterprise-grade governance, enabling teams to connect Tealium with existing systems without building custom scaffolding. "Companies aren't going to standardize on one AI assistant for every application," said Mike Anderson, CTO and Co-Founder of Tealium. "Some teams want to work inside Tealium. Others want their own AI to run it for them, without ever opening our UI. We already let teams invoke their own models straight from the platform. Now we're giving them the last piece: a recommendation, and a single click to act on it." Tealium gives enterprise teams multiple ways to configure and activate consented, real-time customer context using the tools and workflows they prefer. Across each of these advancements, the foundation remains the same: governed customer data and human review before any changes are published. New ways to work with Tealium: * Tealium Configuration MCP: Gives MCP-compatible agents a governed way to create and modify Tealium configurations, including audiences, attributes, enrichments, and activation workflows. Changes remain in draft until reviewed and approved. * Tealium Studio: Provides a native natural-language experience for teams that prefer to work directly within Tealium, helping users understand configuration, trace data flows, and move from business intent to proposed configuration with a final review and approval before anything is published. * Tealium Platform APIs and Developer Portal: Developers and automated pipelines can create versioned, validated, and reversible workflows through a self-service Developer Portal. Draft, validation, and rollback capabilities, combined with account- and profile-level access controls, provide a single governed surface for operating Tealium from code. * AI Recommended Audiences Enhancements: Analyzes the customer data already unified in Tealium to surface high-value audience segments automatically, complete with conditions, estimated size, and next best actions, ready to activate immediately. No new data sources, no data science team, no SQL required. Contact a Tealium representative for more details, or book a demo. To keep up with the latest company news, visit Tealium's Newsroom. NOVA partners with Tealium & LiveRamp to reach audiences 'around the moments they already love'

NOVA partners with Tealium & LiveRamp to reach audiences 'around the moments they already love' Published on: 23rd July 2026 at 10:09 AM NOVA Entertainment has partnered with customer data platform Tealium and data collaboration platform LiveRamp to boost its first-party data capabilities as the audio company looks to give advertisers more sophisticated audience targeting and measurement tools. The deals form a key part of NOVA's broader ad tech strategy, with the broadcaster saying it can now deliver audience insights across more than 90 per cent of its listener base by combining first-party data, strategic technology partnerships and an integrated data stack. The Tealium partnership will support NOVA's customer data infrastructure, enabling the company to collect, unify and activate audience data in real time across its expanding digital ecosystem, including mobile, web, connected TV, in-car and other connected platforms. NOVA said the platform will support real-time data collection, improved identity resolution across known and anonymous audiences, additional activation channels and seamless integration across marketing, commercial and analytics platforms, while maintaining privacy and governance standards. Meanwhile, its partnership with LiveRamp will allow advertisers to securely match their own first-party customer data with NOVA's audience data, enabling more targeted campaigns and providing improved measurement capabilities. The move comes as media owners increasingly invest in first-party data and identity solutions amid the continued decline of third-party cookies and growing demand from advertisers for measurable, privacy-compliant audience targeting. The partnerships build on several initiatives unveiled during NOVA's recent Infronts presentation, including its eight-signal measurement framework, Path to 11% strategy and Audio Planning & Optimisation Platform (APOP), developed with Landmarks ID, as the company seeks to position audio as a more accountable and performance-driven advertising channel. NOVA Entertainment chief commercial officer Nicole Bence said the technology investments were designed to help advertisers better plan, measure and prove the effectiveness of audio. "At our Infronts, we committed to earning audio's place on the plan by proving its performance, and you can't prove what you can't address or measure," Bence said. "This is the foundation that makes that real: letting advertisers match their own data to nearly all of our audience, with people's consent, and reach them around the talent and moments they already love. "It's not technology for its own sake, it's how we make audio easier to plan, prove and believe in." Tealium recognized in Snowflake's Modern Marketing Data Stack report.

Tealium recognized in Snowflake's Modern Marketing Data Stack report. Tealium was recognized for helping joint customers unify governed data, audience activation, and AI-driven marketing outcomes in the Snowflake AI Data Cloud. San Diego, June 22, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) - Tealium today announced at Cannes Lions 2026 that it has been recognized by Snowflake, the AI Data Cloud company, as a One to Watch in The Modern Marketing Data Stack: Governing the Agentic Enterprise, in the Activation & Delivery Category. Tealium works with Snowflake's AI Data Cloud to help joint customers unify data activation and analytics in a single governed environment, turning trusted customer data into real-time, personalized engagement at scale. "Modern marketing runs on trusted data, strong governance, and the ability to move from insight to action without friction," said Denise Persson, CMO at Snowflake. "Tealium's work with Snowflake helps joint customers bring audience creation and activation closer to their data, giving marketing and data teams a more efficient way to operationalize AI-driven insights and deliver more timely, relevant customer engagement. As brands modernize their martech stacks for the agentic era, this kind of ecosystem innovation is what helps turn data into action." Now in its fifth year, Snowflake's Modern Marketing Data Stack report reflects a major shift in how marketing organizations operate - from fragmented tools toward AI-driven, agentic systems built on governed data foundations. This edition draws on insights from more than 11,500 Snowflake customers and ecosystem partners across 13 categories, highlighting how organizations are bringing industry-leading applications directly to their data to drive faster execution and proven business outcomes across the marketing lifecycle, while addressing the growing demands of data gravity, privacy and trust. Tealium serves as the orchestration layer for real-time data collection, audience management, activation, and customer engagement. Together, Tealium and Snowflake enable enterprises to build audiences once in Snowflake and activate trusted customer data on a scheduled basis, through event-based triggers, or in real time. The integration helps teams transform raw event streams into AI-ready structured tables without exporting data outside of Snowflake. Organizations can also operationalize AI use cases by invoking their own models through Tealium and Snowflake Cortex to power intelligent customer interactions and decisioning. Tealium also recently launched Audience Discovery for Snowflake, a native application now available in the Snowflake Marketplace. The application allows enterprises to define and manage audiences directly from Snowflake data without moving data outside of their Snowflake environment. Running entirely within the customer's Snowflake account, Audience Discovery creates audience tables and corresponding views for activation workflows. Audience data refreshes automatically on a configurable schedule, while Tealium securely reads from those views through a Snowflake data source to activate customer records across downstream channels and systems.
