Tecta America names Kevin Palmer CEO as Dave Reginelli transitions to Executive Advisor. June 22, 2026 Kevin Palmer Tecta America Corporation, the nation's largest commercial roofing contractor, has announced a leadership transition that will see Chief Executive Officer Dave Reginelli move into the role of Executive Advisor, while President Kevin Palmer assumes the CEO position effective June 22. The transition marks the culmination of a long-planned succession process at the Rosemont, Illinois-based company and comes as Tecta America continues to build on decades of growth that have established it as the leading commercial roofing contractor in the United States. Reginelli joined Tecta America in 2010 as Chief Financial Officer and spent the past 16 years helping shape the company's growth strategy and organizational development. During his tenure, he advanced through several leadership roles, ultimately serving as President and Chief Executive Officer. Under his leadership, Tecta navigated multiple ownership transitions, executed a significant acquisition strategy, and expanded its national footprint to more than 110 locations. The company's revenue grew to more than $1.6 billion during that period, reinforcing its position as the largest player in the commercial roofing sector. Beyond financial performance, Reginelli played a key role in developing employee-focused initiatives, including training and professional development programs for Tecta's more than 5,500 field and office employees, as well as the company's profit-sharing program. "When I joined Tecta in 2010, I could not have imagined the incredible journey that lay ahead," Reginelli said. "I am so proud of what this team has built together - not just in scale, but in the culture, the reputation, and the extraordinary people who make Tecta what it is. It has been the honor of my professional life to lead this organization, and I look forward to supporting Kevin and the entire team in my new role as Executive Advisor." Reginelli added that he believes the company is well positioned for continued success under Palmer's leadership. Palmer brings more than three decades of roofing and construction industry experience to the role and represents a long-tenured leader within the Tecta organization. He joined the company more than 20 years ago and most recently served as President after being appointed to the position in March 2024. Before joining Tecta's corporate leadership team, Palmer spent eight years as Operating Unit President of Schwickert's, a Tecta America company, where he gained extensive operational experience managing construction and roofing services. His background spans field operations, business management, and organizational leadership, giving him a broad perspective on the company's national platform. "Dave has been an exceptional leader and an even better colleague, mentor and friend," Palmer said. "His vision, integrity, and dedication to this business are woven into everything Tecta is today. I am deeply grateful for the foundation he has built, and I am excited to honor his legacy and the legacy of all our people by continuing to grow and strengthen this extraordinary company." The leadership change comes as demand for commercial roofing, building maintenance, and infrastructure-related services continues to benefit from ongoing investment in industrial, logistics, healthcare, education, and commercial real estate facilities. Industry participants are also navigating evolving customer expectations around sustainability, energy efficiency, and lifecycle asset management, creating opportunities for companies with national scale and specialized expertise. Founded by roofing professionals and built through a combination of organic growth and acquisitions, Tecta America has established one of the industry's largest service networks. The company provides commercial roofing installation, replacement, maintenance, and related building envelope services across the country. With Palmer assuming the CEO role and Reginelli remaining involved as Executive Advisor, Tecta America is positioning itself to maintain continuity while pursuing its next phase of growth. The transition reflects the company's focus on leadership development and succession planning as it continues to expand its market presence and operational capabilities across the commercial roofing industry.
Tecta America expands into Wyoming with acquisition of Big Horn Roofing. Commercial roofing giant adds Laramie-based contractor in its second acquisition of 2026, strengthening its presence across the Mountain West. May 18, 2026 Tecta America has expanded its footprint into Wyoming with the acquisition of Big Horn Roofing, a commercial roofing contractor with nearly 40 years of experience serving customers across the state. Founded in 1986 and headquartered in Laramie, Wy., Big Horn Roofing also operates locations in Cody and Casper. The company provides commercial re-roofing, new construction, and service and maintenance work throughout the region. The acquisition marks Tecta America's second deal of 2026 and continues the company's long-term strategy of expanding into new markets through partnerships with established roofing contractors. "We are excited to welcome Big Horn Roofing to the Tecta family," said Dave Reginelli, CEO of Tecta America. "We have been looking to establish a presence in Wyoming for many years and found an outstanding partner in Big Horn." Reginelli said Big Horn's leadership team has built a company centered on safety, employee development and quality workmanship. He added that Tecta's approach is to preserve the culture and operational strengths of acquired companies while providing additional resources for growth. Jason Smallwood will continue to lead the business as president alongside the existing leadership team. The company will operate as Big Horn Roofing, a Tecta America Company, LLC, and all employees will remain in place. "We're proud to join Tecta America," Smallwood said. "For nearly 40 years, we've believed our people are the foundation of our success. Tecta shares that philosophy and brings a long-term perspective that aligns with our values." Tecta America said it does not rebrand acquired companies or replace their leadership teams, instead focusing on supporting local operations with financial and operational resources while allowing them to maintain autonomy. Based in the United States, Tecta America operates more than 110 locations nationwide and is one of the country's largest commercial roofing contractors. The company serves commercial customers across a range of sectors and is an approved applicator for all major roofing manufacturers. Tecta celebrated its 25th anniversary last year with a string of high-profile acquisitions, including Texas Roofing, a commercial roofing contractor based in Round Rock, Texas. There were six acquisitions in all throughout the year, during which Tecta earned the top spot on RC's 2025 Top 100 List. Looking for a reprint of this article?
