TestGorilla introduces new assessments for AI readiness and AI competency to help companies hire employees with currently in-demand skills.

TestGorilla introduces new assessments for AI readiness and AI competency to help companies hire employees with currently in-demand skills. TestGorilla, the competency-based hiring platform trusted by thousands of companies worldwide, today unveiled a series of new assessments and simulation tests specifically designed to help talent acquisition teams evaluate AI readiness and AI competency. This followed the company's flagship event: Hire for the AI Era. Use validated assessments and structured AI video interviews through the TestGorilla platform to measure different aspects of AI fluency across technical and non-technical roles. Inside the platform, tools are clearly labeled with AI fluency making it easy to find and build an assessment. The launch coincides with a crucial shift in the hiring landscape. Wouter Durville, co-founder and CEO of TestGorilla, presented data at the event that illustrates this change: 70% of companies report having integrated AI into their core workforce, and 71% of leaders place greater emphasis on AI skills than on long-term experience when recruiting. Although 95% of companies cite AI skills as an active hiring factor, most existing hiring processes still rely on a pre-AI reality. As Durville noted: 'AI has fundamentally changed the signals in recruitment.' The science behind the assessments: TestGorilla's AI Fluency Framework All new products are based on TestGorilla's proprietary five-pillar AI Fluency Framework, developed by the company's internal team of organizational scientists and psychologists. The framework defines AI competency not as a single skill but as five measurable dimensions that together determine whether a candidate can work effectively and responsibly in an AI-supported work environment: * AI Competency: The basic ability to work effectively with AI tools. * Learning Ability and Digital Agility: The ability to quickly learn, unlearn, and adapt to new tools as technology evolves. * Systemic Thinking and Problem-Solving: The ability to understand how AI fits into a larger workflow, break down problems into components, select the right tool, and know where AI should and should not be applied. * Ethics and Responsible Use: The judgment to use AI transparently and responsibly - knowing when human involvement is necessary and how to act responsibly. * Human-AI Collaboration: The ability to collaborate seamlessly with AI and know when to rely on the machine and when to take control oneself. 'AI competency isn't just about technical implementation,' said Durville. 'It's about the interplay of all five aspects, and the good thing is that they can all be measured.'
