Overview

The Center for Family Support is a nonprofit human services agency serving people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families in New York and New Jersey. Its residential and community programs range from round-the-clock support in small group homes to one-to-one help with daily living skills and relief for family caregivers. It also runs day programs, employment support and disability rights activities built around each participant's goals. Through its self-directed services subsidiary, participants and families set budgets and choose support staff, while public reimbursements, grants and donations fund its work. Founded in 1954, it is headquartered in New York City.
