Overview

The River Valley Regional YMCA is a nonprofit that runs recreation and youth development programs for children, adults and families across north central Pennsylvania. Its branches combine fitness and swimming with early childhood education, before- and after-school care, and summer day camps. It also operates Pre-K Counts, a state-funded preschool program for eligible families. Membership dues and charitable giving support its work, while financial assistance helps households participate regardless of their ability to pay. The regional association was established in 2006, building on the Williamsport YMCA's roots in 1866, and is headquartered in Williamsport, Pennsylvania.
