Metrocentre home to two new brands. 06/07/2026 The Metrocentre Partnership has announced the openings of Hollister's largest regional store and Timberland's first North East location at Metrocentre. Both of these additions further strengthen Metrocentre's position as the leading destination for fashion retail in the North East. Hollister has launched its 6,000sq ft store in Lower Red Mall, bringing its signature range of apparel, accessories and fragrances to the scheme. Appealing to a broad customer base, while maintaining a strong connection with socially conscious Gen Z consumers, Hollister further enhances Metrocentre's best-in-class fashion offer, joining brands including Stradivarius, Zara and Mango. Occupying 2,567sq ft, Timberland has opened its first North East store in Metrocentre's Upper Red Mall. The new space showcases the brand's premium heritage collections, including outerwear and its signature footwear. The new Metrocentre store is a key location for Timberland's UK retail positioning. The store interior aligns with the brand's heritage, reflecting its deep-rooted connection to craftsmanship. Ben Cox, Director at Sovereign Centros from CBRE, Asset Managers of Metrocentre, said: "Hollister and Timberland are two iconic brands within the fashion sector. Both have established customer bases and continue to drive growth through a focus on strengthening their presence in key locations, which is exactly what we are. Timberland launching its North East debut at Metrocentre is a clear vote of confidence in the vitality of our fashion offer, with both brands joining the scheme at a fundamental stage in our leasing strategy, where we are continually securing prime, global fashion and retail brands that want to make a home in the region." Scott Clarke-Bryan, Managing Director EMEA at Abercrombie & Fitch Co, added: "This opening represents another exciting investment in bringing the Hollister brand closer to our customers - meeting them where they love to shop in strategic, high-footfall destinations. Metrocentre is a natural fit as we continue to build our presence in the North East and strengthen our footprint across the UK. Our Hollister House store design brings our best brand experience to life, combining a fresh, engaging retail environment with seamless omni-channel capabilities. We're delighted to welcome customers into the space and invite them to experience the brand in a new way."
Timberland opens store at American Dream Mall. June 8, 2026 Timberland, owned by VF Corp., opened a store at the American Dream Mall in East Rutherford, NJ, as the brand ramps up store openings. VF reportedly plans to open 20 full-price and outlet stores this year, including stores opened so far at South Shore Plaza in Braintree, MA and at Houston Premium Outlets. Three more stores are set to open in Texas later this year in Grapevine Mills, Galleria Dallas and Allen Premium Outlets. According to VF's 10K, Timberland operated 147 owned stores worldwide in its latest fiscal year ended March 28. On VF's fiscal fourth quarter analyst call, Bracken Darrell, VF's president and CEO, said Timberland's sales grew 2 percent in the quarter, in line with expectations, as 8 percent growth in DTC (direct-to-consumer) offset a slight decline at wholesale. Darrell said the Timberland brand is expanding its distribution footprint with 11 full-price stores now open and operating in the U.S. The CEO said, "The outsized productivity shown by our new stores are early proof points of our new operating model working as planned. We have exciting plans for Timberland in the coming seasons as we continue to set the stage for long-term profitable growth ahead. This brand can become much larger over time, and I'm confident we're taking the right strategic steps to ensure that happens." Image courtesy Timberland
Timberland and BEAMS reimagine the 6-Inch Premium GTX Ring Boot. Releasing alongside an apparel collection. * Timberland and BEAMS have teamed up to release a new capsule collection featuring functional apparel and accessories * The footwear highlight of the drop is a laceless 6-Inch Premium GTX Ring Boot accompanied by a matching leather belt * A pre-release and launch event will take place at BEAMS Harajuku on April 10 before a wider rollout on April 11 Timberland and BEAMS are officially teaming up to release a new capsule collection featuring the 6-Inch Premium GTX Ring Boot. The collaborative effort takes the iconic outdoor brand's staples and reconstructs them with a fresh, contemporary lens. Showcasing a refined approach to classic ruggedness, the drop is anchored by an exclusive footwear update and a range of versatile apparel. Leading the charge is the 6-Inch Premium GTX Ring Boot, which completely reimagines Timberland's signature silhouette. By eliminating the traditional shoelaces, the newly molded design is updated into a minimalist "ring boot" while retaining its inherently tough, weather-ready identity. The boots arrive in a classic Wheat colorway and can be paired seamlessly with an all-leather Wheat Belt designed in the same hue. Beyond the footwear, the collection expands into a full functional lineup geared towards the summer months. Standouts include a Nylon Jacket available in British Khaki and Peacoat, as well as Light Shade 3WAY Denim Pants. A Short Sleeve T-shirt and a Beige 2-Tone Cap complete the offering. The Timberland x BEAMS capsule collection drops early on April 10 at BEAMS Harajuku. A wider release will follow on April 11 at select BEAMS locations and the Timberland Boutique Tokyo.
Timberland announces Grapevine Mills location. Galleria in Dallas, Allen Outlets Other Announced Stores March 30, 2026 12:26 PM A Timberland store is coming to Grapevine Mills Mall, the company announced in March. A globally recognized outdoor lifestyle brand is stepping into North Texas in a big way - including around the corner at Grapevine Mills. According to reporting from The Dallas Morning News, Timberland is planning to open a new retail store inside the Grapevine shopping destination later this year as part of a broader DFW expansion. Grapevine Mills is one of three DFW locations included in this rollout, alongside additional stores planned for Galleria Dallas and Allen Premium Outlets. The expansion reflects the company's confidence in the region, citing its growth and diverse consumer base as key drivers. While an exact opening date has not yet been announced, the Grapevine location is expected to be one of the brand's larger footprints in the region, spanning more than 4,500 square feet. Shoppers can expect a full lineup of Timberland's signature products, including footwear, apparel and accessories for men, women and children. The move marks a notable shift for Timberland, which has historically relied on wholesale and digital sales in North Texas rather than standalone storefronts. Company leadership says these new brick-and-mortar locations are designed to create a more immersive, in-person brand experience.
Timberland targets Dallas-Fort Worth for retail expansion. 2026-03-26 The planned opening of three new Timberland stores in North Texas represents a strategic expansion into a key market for the brand. By establishing a physical presence in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, Timberland expects to deepen relationships with a diverse consumer base and capitalize on the region's growth, said Ryan Murphy, Timberland Americas' head of marketing. The move aligns with the brand's renewed momentum and focus on strengthening direct connections with US shoppers. The three new locations will vary in size and will all offer footwear, apparel and accessories tailored for men, women and children, blending lifestyle and workwear products.
