TRIO is an academic clinical research organization focused on translating cancer science into patient treatments. It coordinates translational cancer research by bringing innovative, targeted therapeutic ideas into clinical trials. The group operates through an international network, with offices in Canada, France, and Uruguay and partnerships with about 2,000 investigators and 450 cancer centers in more than 45 countries, allowing global studies of systemic cancer therapies. Compared with typical biotech or pharma firms, TRIO emphasizes academic collaboration and real-world trial execution across many centers rather than developing and selling drugs itself.
