Roohan Realty announces the promotion of Dan Roohan to Vice President. Posted on July 27, 2026 Posted in Blog Three generations. Three perspectives. One standard. by Jordan Golisano-VanNeil | July 27th, 2026 | Email - LinkedIn Third-Generation leadership marks the next chapter for Saratoga Springs' family-owned Real Estate brokerage. Roohan Realty is proud to announce the promotion of Dan Roohan to Vice President. This marks the next chapter in the leadership of the family-owned brokerage founded by his grandfather, John T. Roohan, and led today by his father, President and Broker/Owner J. Thomas "Tom" Roohan. Founded in 1969, Roohan Realty has built its reputation on relationships, integrity, and an unwavering commitment to serving the community. For more than 57 years, each generation of the Roohan family has brought new perspectives while building on the strong foundation established from the very beginning. The second generation of Roohan family leadership began when Tom Roohan earned his real estate license in 1979 and joined the company, later becoming President and Broker/Owner in 1998. Under Tom's leadership, Roohan Realty grew from its early days with an office at 48 Union Avenue into Saratoga Springs; market-leading independent brokerage. In 2002, the company relocated to its current home at 519 Broadway and continued its evolution from primarily residential sales into a full-service brokerage specializing in residential, commercial, and new construction real estate across eight counties in New York's Capital Region. Today, Roohan Realty is home to more than 40 real estate associates and eight professional staff members and remains a market leader in the City of Saratoga Springs. Now, a third generation is helping lead the company into the future. Before joining Roohan Realty, Dan spent ten years as a Logistics Manager coordinating environmental cleanup operations for Triumvirate Environmental in Astoria, New York. Working in a fast-paced, high pressure environment strengthened his leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities, experience that has proven invaluable in the real estate industry. Dan returned to Saratoga Springs with his wife, Lindley, and their two daughters, Charlotte and Nora, to join the family business. Having grown up around the company, he spent time during high school and college working with Roohan Realty's property management and maintenance team, gaining an early understanding of the day-to-day operations of the business. Over the past seven years as a REALTOR(R) Dan has earned his Associate Broker license and successfully represented buyers and sellers in numerous residential transactions. He has also played a key role in the sale of many of Saratoga Springs' high-profile commercial properties, contributing to nearly $50 million in sales. Beyond his work as an Associate Broker, Dan has become deeply involved in the day-to-day leadership of the company. He oversees personnel, has led numerous technology and procedural advancements, working closely with the leadership team on marketing, commercial real estate, technology, and operations. His hands-on involvement across virtually every facet of the business has given him a comprehensive understanding of the company's people, processes, and long-term vision, positioning him well to help guide Roohan Realty into its next chapter. Community service has long been a cornerstone of the Roohan family. Dan's grandfather was a well-known community leader and one of the driving forces behind the revitalization of Saratoga Springs, while Tom and his wife, Kristie, have continued that tradition through their leadership and service with numerous local organizations. Their involvement reflects the values that have guided Roohan Realty for more than five decades: investing in the people and organizations that strengthen the region the company proudly calls home. Dan also shares the Roohan family' commitment to community service. He completed the Leadership Saratoga Program in 2023 and serves on the boards of Rebuilding Together Saratoga County and the Adirondack Trust Company Community Fund Advisory Committee. He also coaches girls' lacrosse and supports his wife Lindley's involvement with Complete Streets, Vision Zero, Wilton Wildlife Preserve & Park and the Saratoga Bike Bus. Reflecting on Dan's promotion, Tom shared his enthusiasm for the next generation of leadership at Roohan Realty, saying, "It was a great day when Dan joined us at Roohan Realty. His friendly demeanor, his sense of humor, his technological skills, and his problem-solving abilities have been a real bonus for us all." As Vice President, Dan will continue building upon the strong foundation established by the generations before him. His leadership will focus on modernizing and digitizing company processes, improving operational efficiency, and ensuring Roohan Realty continues to evolve while preserving the personalized service, integrity, and trusted relationships that have defined the company for decades. Dan expressed his excitement for the opportunity ahead, sharing, "I am excited about this new leadership opportunity and the chance to put my ideas into action as we continue taking Roohan Realty to the next level of service for our clients and our community" As Roohan Realty looks ahead, its commitment remains unchanged: delivering exceptional service, earning the trust of its clients, and strengthening the communities it has proudly served for more than 57 years. Triumvirate Environmental expands Arizona facility with advanced hazardous waste capabilities. Casa Grande Expansion Strengthens Waste Disposal Infrastructure Across Western U.S. Triumvirate Environmental has announced a major expansion of its waste processing facility in Casa Grande, Arizona, aimed at enhancing hazardous waste disposal capabilities and addressing growing demand across the West Coast and Southwest regions. The development marks a significant step in strengthening environmental infrastructure in the United States. Facility expansion and strategic location. Located in Casa Grande, approximately an hour south of Phoenix, the 25-acre site currently operates as a non-hazardous waste processing facility. The expansion introduces a new RCRA Part B hazardous waste facility, positioning it as one of the most comprehensive treatment, storage, and disposal facilities (TSDFs) west of the Mississippi River. The upgraded facility is expected to become operational later in 2026. Operational capabilities and technology integration. The expansion will add approximately 60,000 square feet of advanced processing space equipped with fuel blending systems, wastewater treatment infrastructure, and stabilization tanks. The facility will support a wide range of hazardous waste streams, including flammable materials, chemicals, sludges, and industrial byproducts. With integrated treatment technologies and rail infrastructure, the site will enable efficient inbound and outbound waste logistics while ensuring compliance with strict environmental regulations. Efficiency and industry impact. By consolidating hazardous and non-hazardous waste management into a single location, Triumvirate Environmental aims to reduce logistical complexity and costs for its customers. The facility is designed to serve industries such as life sciences, manufacturing, higher education, and technology. The ability to manage multiple waste streams under one roof will improve operational efficiency and support sustainable waste management practices across sectors. Regional and economic significance. The expansion represents a critical investment in a region that has historically faced limited hazardous waste disposal capacity. By enhancing local infrastructure, the project reduces the need for long-distance transportation, lowering both costs and environmental impact. Additionally, the facility incorporates modern safety systems, fire protection technologies, and advanced monitoring mechanisms, setting new benchmarks compared to legacy waste processing sites. Strategic outlook. This development reinforces the growing importance of integrated environmental services in industrial ecosystems. As regulatory requirements and sustainability goals become more stringent, facilities like Triumvirate's Casa Grande site will play a pivotal role in enabling compliant, scalable, and efficient waste management solutions. The expansion also strengthens the company's ability to provide end-to-end services, from waste collection and transportation to final disposal, positioning it as a key player in North America's environmental services sector.
