Trout CPA expands Indirect Tax offerings with the addition of Nick Miller. Posted by Trout CPA on July 06, 2026 Trout CPA is pleased to share that Nick Miller, CMI, has joined the firm as the Director of Indirect Tax, bringing over 18 years of experience in multi-state tax at national firms and in the industry, Miller will lead and continue to build out its indirect tax services, including sales and use tax and state and local tax. He'll partner closely with its teams and clients to navigate complex compliance requirements, identify potential risks, and uncover planning opportunities. He joins Trout CPA from global and national companies including CLA (CliftonLarsonAllen LLP) and Shift4, where he oversaw all aspects of indirect tax compliance and strategy. His background allows Trout CPA to strengthen its expertise and capabilities in this area as Trout CPA continue to grow. Miller is a Certified Member of the Institute (CMI) in Sales Tax from the Institute for Professionals in Taxation, is a Certified Avalara Implementor, and holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Lock Haven University. The addition of Miller reflects Trout CPA's continued investment in senior-level talent to support evolving client needs and position the firm for long-term growth in the middle-market and beyond.

Financial Accounting Foundation appoints new trustees; MGO business management professionals awarded industry accolades; and more news from across the profession. Los Angeles mayor Karen Bass hosted a "Shine LA" city beautification effort that brought together more than 400 employees of PricewaterhouseCoopers, Ernst & Young LLP and KPMG LLP for a day of service in Downtown Los Angeles, including Los Angeles managing partners (pictured from left to right) Andy Sofield of PwC; Terry Feit of Deloitte; Michelle Wroan of KPMG; and Andy Park of EY. The volunteers participated in activities that included loose litter pickup, tree planting, and more. Milton Tse was hired as an assurance partner at CohnReznick, San Francisco.
