Marquis Who's Who Honors Jonathan P. Lienhard for Excellence in Legal Services

Marquis Who's Who honors Jonathan P. Lienhard for excellence in legal services. Jonathan P. Lienhard brings three decades of exemplary service in the legal sector to his leadership roles as partner and head of litigation at Holtzman Vogel Baran Torchinsky & Josefiak PLLC He received the coveted AV Rating from Martindale-Hubbell Peer Review Rating(TM) in 2013 and was named among the Top Criminal Lawyers by Northern Virginia Magazine in 2014. WARRENTON, VA, June 08, 2026 /24-7PressRelease/ - Jonathan P. Lienhard has been selected for inclusion in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process. Marked by nearly three decades of professional experience and a particular expertise in commercial litigation and white-collar work, Mr. Lienhard has led a distinguished career in law. Since 2019, he has served as both partner and head of litigation at Holtzman Vogel Baran Torchinsky & Josefiak PLLC, which has become recognized for its critical role in political election law, general litigation, commercial litigation and white-collar crime. In his capacity, he has played a pivotal role in the firm's continuous growth, expanding its team from 17 to approximately 70 talented lawyers over the course of seven years. The firm, which was originally founded by managing partner Jill Holtzman Vogel as a political compliance practice, evolved over time to handle an increasing volume of litigation work as well. Recognizing Mr. Lienhard's capabilities and his standing within the Virginia political community, Ms. Vogel invited him to lead the development of the litigation team. Prior to joining Holtzman Vogel Baran Torchinsky & Josefiak, Mr. Lienhard excelled as a trial practice attorney at Walker Jones, PC in Warrenton, Virginia, from 2011 to 2019. During this period, he handled a broad range of complex legal matters and further honed his skills in commercial litigation, appeals and real estate litigation. From 2009 to 2011, he served as of counsel at Downey & Mayhugh, PC, where he provided strategic legal guidance and contributed to significant casework in business transactions and company startup processes. In 2008, Mr. Lienhard founded and operated his own private practice as an attorney at the Law Office of Jonathan P. Lienhard - an entrepreneurial endeavor that allowed him to manage cases independently and develop client relationships across various legal disciplines. He previously held the position of associate general counsel with the real estate lending leader Greystone Servicing Corporation, Inc. from 2006 to 2008, during which he gained valuable experience in corporate legal affairs and financial services. From 2004 to 2006, Mr. Lienhard was an associate at Troutman Sanders LLP (now Troutman Pepper Locke), where he worked on high-profile commercial litigation cases. His earlier roles include serving as an associate at Richards McGettigan Reilly & West, PC for two years and in a similar role at McKenna and Cuneo LLP from 2001 to 2002. Mr. Lienhard began his professional journey with service as a Navy Judge Advocate General's Corps officer in the United States Navy from 1997 to 2001. As a third-generation naval officer, his family's military background deeply influenced his commitment to service and shaped his character as both a lawyer and a professional. Alongside his primary roles, Mr. Lienhard has been actively involved with several industry-related organizations. In addition to being a master member of the George Mason American Inn of Court since 2016, he maintains memberships with the Federalist Society, the Federal Bar Association and the American Legion. He also previously served as chairman of the litigation section for the Virginia State Bar. Mr. Lienhard's equally accomplished academic foundation includes a Juris Doctor in 1997 as well as a Bachelor of Arts in history and philosophy in 1994, both earned at The University of Notre Dame. Furthermore, he is a graduate of Leadership Alexandria through the Alexandria Chamber of Commerce. In honor of his outstanding contributions to the legal sector, Mr. Lienhard has been recognized by both peers and industry publications over the years. He received the coveted AV Rating from Martindale-Hubbell Peer Review Rating(TM) in 2013 and was named among the Top Criminal Lawyers by Northern Virginia Magazine in 2014. Beyond his legal practice, Mr. Lienhard is known for his civic engagement through volunteerism as the lawyer for his local American Legion chapter, through which he supports the well-being of his fellow veterans and promotes the organization's mission within the community. Happily married for more than 20 years and a proud father of three sons, Mr. Lienhard cherishes spending time with his family and enjoys reading as well as playing golf and tennis outside of work. Looking toward the future, he remains dedicated to ensuring that the litigation practice at Holtzman Vogel Baran Torchinsky & Josefiak continues to thrive while expanding into new fields and developing its offices into a fully integrated national presence. Reflecting on his storied journey to date, Mr. Lienhard attributes much of his success to his managing partner Jill Holtzman Vogel's visionary leadership and commitment to fostering an inclusive environment that enables excellence among their entire team. Personally motivated by an unwavering pursuit of excellence and helping others solve problems, he remains devoted to securing impactful results for his clients while upholding the highest standards of professionalism within the legal realm and beyond.
