US Foods beats Q2 revenue estimates with $10.53B in sales, up 4.5% year on year

US Foods reported second-quarter revenue of $10.53 billion, beating analyst estimates of $10.47 billion and marking a 4.5% year-on-year increase. The food distribution company's non-GAAP profit of $1.44 per share exceeded consensus estimates by 5.7%. The company's adjusted EBITDA reached $604 million, surpassing expectations of $587.2 million with a 5.7% margin. Sales volumes grew 1.9% year on year, whilst operating margin remained steady at 4.2%. US Foods supplies approximately 250,000 customers across restaurants, healthcare facilities, hotels, and educational institutions in the US. However, the company's recent performance shows demand has slowed, with annualised revenue growth of 4.6% over the last two years falling below its five-year trend of 9.1%. Analysts project revenue growth of 5.9% over the next 12 months.

US Foods slashes price target to $88 amid chain restaurant traffic concerns despite 15% EPS growth

US Foods Holding Corp. has been identified as one of the best defensive stocks to buy amid geopolitical tensions, despite recent analyst concerns. US Foods posts $9.6B revenue as lab-grown meat distributor expands margin to 1.7%
