ASTS stock could get A New catalyst: US Mobile sets sights on Q4 AST SpaceMobile launch. Published: Aug 31 2026, 11:00 AM IST * FB * TW * Linkdin * Whatsapp * GNFollow Us US Mobile is also targeting Starlink Direct to Cell by late Q4 as part of its "terrestrial + celestial" strategy. * US Mobile plans to introduce AST SpaceMobile-powered direct-to-cell coverage on its Verizon-based Warp network in Q4. * The service would connect ordinary smartphones to satellites when users move beyond terrestrial cellular coverage. * AST SpaceMobile fully deployed BlueBirds 12 and 13, whose large arrays can support speeds of about 200 Mbps. Shares of AST SpaceMobile (ASTS) head into August's final trading session on Monday down 1.6% for the month, leaving the stock within reach of snapping a two-month losing streak as US Mobile targets a fourth-quarter (Q4) launch of its direct-to-cell service. ASTS stock fell nearly 6% on Friday and ended the week down 15%, marking its third consecutive weekly loss and its worst performance in more than a month. US Mobile targets Q4 AST SpaceMobile launch. In a Reddit update, Ahmed Khattak, US Mobile's CEO, said the carrier plans to introduce AST SpaceMobile-powered coverage on Warp, its Verizon-based network, during the fourth quarter. "On direct-to-cell specifically, AST SpaceMobile is coming to Warp and is currently slated for Q4," he said. Verizon is a commercial partner and investor in AST SpaceMobile. The upcoming service would allow US Mobile customers to connect through satellites when terrestrial cellular coverage is unavailable, using ordinary smartphones. US Mobile is also targeting Starlink Direct to Cell toward the end of the fourth quarter, positioning the two satellite systems as coverage layers alongside its three terrestrial networks. "I do not think satellite will replace terrestrial cellular networks because the physics simply do not support that, but I think it is going to be an incredible coverage layer," the CEO said. Terrestrial networks can reuse spectrum across millions of relatively small cells, giving them far more capacity, he said. Satellites, however, can fill gaps in places where conventional towers do not exist. "By Q4, the direction should be pretty clear: three terrestrial networks, Starlink for off grid connectivity, direct to cell when terrestrial coverage disappears and Fixed Wireless at home, all increasingly orchestrated through one platform," Khattak said. "Not terrestrial OR celestial. Terrestrial + celestial." US Mobile opens platform to satellite partners. US Mobile has already integrated Starlink internet into its platform and is working toward tighter integration between terrestrial and satellite connectivity. The CEO sees a future in which customers could travel to remote locations, connect using a portable satellite terminal and receive support through the same platform used for conventional wireless service. "No tower anywhere around you. Doesn't matter," he said. US Mobile's platform can also incorporate additional "celestial partners" as they become available, Khattak added. The carrier recently crossed 1.1 million active subscribers and extended the agreement powering Warp into the next decade under a deal valued at over $1 billion. ASTS fully deploys BlueBird 12 and 13. Last week, AST SpaceMobile fully deployed BlueBird satellites 12 and 13, which launched with BlueBird 11 aboard a SpaceX Falcon 9 earlier this month. Each next-gen satellite carries a 2,400-square-foot array designed to deliver voice, broadband and text directly to standard smartphones, with peak speeds approaching 200 Mbps. BlueBird 14 is complete, while BlueBirds 15 and 16 are nearing completion and production is advancing through BlueBird 48. AST SpaceMobile is targeting six fully assembled satellites per month and 45 in orbit by early 2027, with its global constellation eventually expected to exceed 100. How do retail traders feel about ASTS? On Stocktwits, retail sentiment for ASTS has been 'bearish' over the past week amid 'extremely high' message volume. US Mobile has launched a promotional convergence bundle with Starlink, combining its multi-network MVNO model with six months of discounted Starlink residential broadband. The partnership marks a significant escalation in prepaid multiservice competition. US Mobile's differentiation lies in its customer-controlled network choice across AT&T, T-Mobile and Verizon, with optional switching capability. Adding Starlink creates a fixed anchor that increases household stickiness and raises switching costs beyond single-network prepaid brands. The bundle preserves US Mobile's standard pricing whilst using Starlink discounts as an acquisition tool. Existing customers on qualifying tiers can also access the six-month discount, positioning the promotion as both a retention and acquisition mechanism. The partnership positions US Mobile as a "connectivity curator", potentially enabling future hybrid terrestrial-satellite mobile propositions.
US Mobile and Starlink introduce affordable home internet and cell Bundle for $47. April 10, 2026 No Comments 2 Mins Read US Mobile has recently made waves in the telecommunications industry by announcing a groundbreaking partnership with Starlink, Elon Musk's satellite internet service. This collaboration marks the first time a prepaid carrier has integrated Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellite technology into their offerings, revolutionizing the way customers can access high-speed internet in rural and underserved areas. The focus of this partnership is to provide customers with a seamless experience by bundling Starlink's Residential service with US Mobile's mobile phone plans. This means that customers can now enjoy both home internet and mobile services under a single billing experience, making it easier than ever to stay connected no matter where they are located. The new bundle pricing offers a range of speed tiers for home internet, starting at $47 per month for the Starlink Residential 100 Mbps Bundle. This includes $17 per month for US Mobile's Unlimited Starter plan and $30 per month for Starlink. Customers can also opt for higher speed tiers, such as the Starlink Residential 200 Mbps Bundle for $77 per month or the Starlink Residential Max (400+ Mbps) for $117 per month. For existing US Mobile customers, adding Starlink home internet to their plan is also a breeze. They can choose from the same speed tiers at monthly rates of $30, $60, and $100 respectively, depending on their desired internet speed. It's important to note that the headline prices are introductory and subject to change after the initial promotional period. US Mobile's mobile pricing renews at the standard rate of $20 per month after the first year, while the Starlink portion of the bill reverts to standard pricing after six months. Beyond just offering home internet services, the partnership between US Mobile and Starlink also holds promise for the future of mobile safety. By leveraging Starlink's Direct-to-Cell technology, US Mobile aims to eliminate cellular dead zones and provide seamless connectivity even in remote areas. This means that customers can rely on satellite technology to send emergency messages and SMS, ensuring their safety no matter where they are. Overall, US Mobile's partnership with Starlink is a game-changer in the telecommunications industry, offering customers a comprehensive solution for their internet and mobile needs. By combining high-speed internet access with mobile services, US Mobile is positioning itself as a formidable competitor against industry giants like T-Mobile, providing a one-stop-shop for connectivity whether at home or on the go. US Mobile announces new plan in partnership with Starlink. No, this isn't about emergency sat use on phone. US Mobile is offering Starlink home satellite service. 4 hours ago Edgar Cervantes / Android Authority * US Mobile has announced its own home internet and mobile service bundle, following AT&T and Mint's footsteps. * Not much is known about the plan just yet, other than it will combine mobile with Starlink home internet. * Pricing is expected to start around $50, though full details are expected to arrive on April 9. Recently, AT&T announced its One Connect plan, which combines home internet with mobile service in a single plan. It seems that the trend is picking up steam as competitors attempt to create alternative bundles that work similarly. Latest deals on top tech. Yesterday, Mint Mobile announced its own unified plan that combines home internet and mobile service, and now US Mobile has entered this race as well. While AT&T utilizes fiber internet and Mint Mobile uses 5G home internet, US Mobile is taking things in a different direction by partnering with Starlink. At first glance, you might assume this is just for satellite on mobile. While US Mobile hints that it could eventually bring users an option similar to T-Sat by Starlink, it's important to be clear that this is not a backup satellite service designed as an emergency alternative to terrestrial networks. Instead, this is a home internet package built around Starlink. As you can imagine, this will probably be less useful for those who have alternatives like fiber and 5G home internet. There are also a lot of unknowns around the service. US Mobile CEO Ahmed Khattak hints the service will begin around $50, though it's unclear exactly what that price gets you. It's also unclear if that's a temporary discount or the permanent price. Starlink's non-promotional rates in the US typically fall around $120 a month, so Androidauthority find it hard to believe that you'll get completely unlimited Starlink service and a phone line for this price. It's very likely that the price includes a very basic plan like their $8 a month 2GB light plan. It's also unclear if this is a special version of Starlink with extra concessions like a hard data cap. Starlink also typically requires you to buy expensive equipment, and it's unclear how US Mobile will handle this. The CEO did mention that you'll get a mini dish, but unfortunately, no other details. The good news is that the plan is expected to be fully revealed tomorrow, April 9. This is certainly a unique move for US Mobile and could be one of the cheapest ways to get low Earth orbit satellite coverage. It all comes down to execution, which Androidauthority'll know more about soon enough.
US Mobile launches unified cellular-satellite service architecture. US Mobile has announced the launch of a bundled service combining unlimited cellular coverage across major US networks with home internet provided by Starlink satellite service. The combined offering launches in early access Thursday with limited availability. The service bundles unlimited Standard or Premium cellular coverage on Warp, Darkstar, and Lightspeed (the three major US networks) with residential internet from Starlink. The plan includes coverage that extends to Canada and Mexico, plus international roaming capability. According to the announcement, pricing is expected to be less than $50 monthly for the combined service. The bundled plan represents the integration of satellite internet with US Mobile's existing multi-network cellular infrastructure. Customers will receive one bill and access one app for managing both cellular and home internet services. US Mobile stated that support services will consolidate all network and service information on a single screen for customer service representatives. The company explained that delivering service across multiple networks and satellite infrastructure required substantial technical development. US Mobile noted that each cellular network operates independent systems for usage tracking, billing, and customer provisioning. Satellite networks operate on separate technical standards. The company developed what it describes as a "unification layer" designed to manage usage data from multiple sources and present billing information on a single invoice, regardless of whether usage occurs on terrestrial networks or satellite service. US Mobile indicated that the current implementation represents the first phase of a larger integration strategy. The company stated that additional Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellite providers, including Kuiper, are expected to become available for integration. The company's stated objective is to eventually integrate multiple terrestrial networks with multiple satellite constellation networks into a single service plan. Early access to the US Mobile and Starlink bundled service becomes available Thursday through a limited enrollment process.
