UTAC and Mission Motorsport engineer exciting partnership.

UTAC and Mission Motorsport engineer exciting partnership. Prestigious global automotive testing and engineering company UTAC has entered into a key partnership with Mission Motorsport through which vital support will be provided towards the Forces' Motorsport Charity's extensive fundraising ventures. UTAC, whose UK operations are based at Millbrook Proving Ground in Bedfordshire, has selected Mission Motorsport as its charity of choice for 2026. Since 2012, Mission Motorsport has worked tirelessly to help individuals impacted by military service. It promotes both physical and mental wellbeing by creating opportunities within motorsport and the automotive industry, UTAC has been a major player in the automotive industry since 1924, and its UK operations in Millbrook offer a wide variety of comprehensive testing facilities and state-of-the-art laboratories, all in a secure and safety-conscious environment. In terms of the Proving Ground itself, there are more than 51 different tracks on site which total around 70-kilometres. Expert teams at UTAC work in a variety of diverse fields such as emissions, homologation, certification, simulations and active and passive safety. Along with cutting-edge testing opportunities, from circuits to oval banking to off-road, there are specialised crash and fire testing centres which aid the growing demand for developments and enhancement of electric vehicle production. Partners such as UTAC are a key part of Mission Motorsport being able to continue its vital work, and such support cannot be underestimated. Since its launch 14 years ago, the charity has helped over 2,000 veterans to find work and there are more than 18,500 beneficiaries who have participated in the charity's sports recovery programmes. Of course, the flagship event for Mission Motorsport is the annual Race of Remembrance which takes place each Remembrance Weekend at Trac Môn Anglesey Circuit in North Wales, where a big grid of cars and road-legal tyres do battle in the name of camaraderie and commemoration. Service leavers, wounded ex-military personnel and their families all come together with teams from the world of motorsport to contest a 12-hour endurance race to raise vital funds. The event is also a poignant way to honour those who have made the ultimate sacrifice for King, Queen and country. Kirsty Andrew, Vice President UTAC UK: "At UTAC we have worked with UK military, directly, for nearly 3 decades. We consider it a privilege to ensure that the vehicle capability provided to the armed forces is fit for purpose from an automotive perspective. It seemed a natural extension to support the veterans who have suffered in the delivery of their service to our country using our facilities and capabilities." Alex Atherton, Mission Motorsport Managing Director: "We are immensely proud that UTAC has appointed Mission Motorsport as its charity partner for 2026. UTAC's support will play a vital role in helping us continue our work with veterans, service leavers, wounded personnel and their families. Partnerships such as this are fundamental to the success of our charity, enabling us to deliver life-changing programmes that support recovery, wellbeing and employment opportunities for those affected by military service. We look forward to working closely with the UTAC team over the coming year and making a lasting difference to the lives of those who have served our country."
