Overview

Uni Systems provides ICT services with a focus on systems integration for enterprises. It designs and implements technology solutions by coordinating hardware, software, and services to meet client goals, often spanning consulting, deployment, and managed support across end-to-end IT projects. Originating as one of Greece’s first IT firms, it built a long track record in establishing computer systems at universities and expanded through acquisitions and cross-border operations. Today, part of the Quest Group, Uni Systems differentiates itself through its extensive European footprint, history of strategic acquisitions (e.g., Intelli Solutions) and minority stake in Compellio, and its ability to deliver large-scale IT programmes across more than 20 countries. The company’s goal is to be a leading ICT corporation in Europe, helping organizations modernize and connect their technology ecosystems through integrated solutions and services.

Our History | Uni Systems

It was in 1964 when Constantinos Doxiadis, the visionary architect and one of the most prolific and influential postwar urban planners, with international acclaim that extended far beyond Greece and the European borders, introduced computer technology in Athens to support his vision of Ekistics, the interdisciplinary science of human settlements.  Sixty years later, Doxiadis Associates Computer Center has evolved into modern Uni Systems, and, today, we commemorate our heritage while moving forward with a vision to digitally improve societies around us.  Constantinos Doxiadis and his colleagues, the pioneers of their era, worked hard fueled by unwavering determination and commitment to their vision. They managed to always stay one step ahead of their time, introducing new technologies and innovative methods of work, that were later adopted by their competitors. Sixty years of innovation, inspiration, dedication to excellence, and respect for our people, have led to the transformation of DACC into the multinational Uni Systems of today.  This page is dedicated to this exciting journey, highlighting the most significant milestones of the company, in parallel with the major historical events that marked each period. Committed to acknowledging our heritage, we draw upon the lessons of history to address the challenges of tomorrow.

Finastra And Uni Systems Extend Collaboration To Enable Financial Institutions To Meet New Risk Management Regulation

Finastra and Uni Systems have extended their partnership to help financial institutions in the Adriatic, Central and Southeast Europe regions comply with the Basel Committee’s Fundamental Review of the Trading Book (FRTB) reporting requirements, effective in January 2023. Under the new agreement, Uni Systems can offer its customers Vector Risk’s Trading Book Market & Credit Risk Solution, via Finastra’s FusionFabric.cloud and hosted on Microsoft Azure, for cloud-based automation of credit and market risk calculations in the trading book. The FRTB is a comprehensive suite of rules proposed by the Basel Committee on Banking Supervision (BCBS) that capital banks must hold against market risk exposures. It expands the current market risk framework to ensure that internal models used by banks to calculate capital requirements efficiently cover risks, and to simplify comparisons of risk-based capital ratios across banks.“Complying with regulations such as the FRTB is a big undertaking for banks, particularly when timeframes are tight and IT systems cannot support the necessary changes,” said Benoit Riquet, CPO, Treasury & Capital Markets at Finastra. “By partnering with Uni Systems and offering Vector Risk’s solution via our platform, more banks will benefit from ongoing upgrades and regulatory compliance, quickly, with reduced project risk and without the need for new IT infrastructure.”Trading Book Market & Credit Risk is a SaaS solution providing out-of-the-box connectivity with Finastra’s treasury and capital market solutions, standard market data packages and institutions’ internal data. It automates the standardized approach for counterparty credit risk (SA-CCR), Value at Risk (VaR), Potential Future Exposure (PFE), credit valuation adjustment (CVA) and others that will follow. Uni Systems provides strategic guidance, project management and technical execution.“Vector Risk’s solution on Finastra’s platform enables institutions to easily comply with market and credit risk regulations, while improving their regulatory and internal reporting metrics,” said Constantine Serros, Banking & Financial Services Business Unit Director and BoD member at Uni Systems
