New white paper reveals nearly half of organizations are practicing 'Selective' integration in service management.

New white paper reveals nearly half of organizations are practicing 'Selective' integration in service management. Organizations are moving beyond traditional models to build more agile, intelligent and cost-effective IT ecosystems. LONDON, and BLUE BELL, Pa. - WEBWIRE - Wednesday, August 26, 2026 Scopism and Unisys (NYSE: UIS) have released a new white paper, "The Global Rise of Selective Service Integration: Why the Service Integration and Management Model is Evolving." The paper highlights an emerging trend: organizations are strategically applying integration principles selectively. By applying only where they deliver the most value, organizations can build responsive and powerful ecosystems fit for the future. Recognizing a shift in how organizations design, implement and operate service integration across increasingly complex, multi-supplier ecosystems, Unisys partnered with Scopism to examine evolving service integration operating models. The findings draw on a global survey of more than 5,000 SIAM professionals across the UK, Europe, Australia, Asia and the Middle East. Key findings include: * Only 6% of organizations have adopted a fully integrated Service Integration and Management (SIAM) model spanning all services and suppliers, and only 12% operate under a fully outsourced SIAM provider model. * Close to half of organizations (44%) apply service integration selectively to specific domains, suppliers, or processes. * Control is shifting inward, with 52% of organizations retaining the service integrator role in-house. The white paper reveals that integrative capabilities are being built into tooling via cloud platforms, automation and AI. AI-driven automation turns performance data into trend-level insights, helping organizations proactively identify risk, improve service quality and support continuous improvement across increasingly complex ecosystems. This allows organizations to adopt a 'just enough' SIAM approach, creating streamlined governance models tailored to their supplier-specific operational requirements. About Unisys Advantages for organizations embracing SSI capabilities: * Greater agility to adapt to market changes at speed. * Reduced cost and complexity by avoiding unnecessary integration overhead. * Improved risk management through automation, AI and focused control over critical service areas. "As businesses navigate constant change, SSI isn't just a new trend; it's the future of service management taking shape," said Karl Brandt, senior vice president and general manager, Global Delivery Operations, Unisys. "With a more targeted approach, core integration principles can focus on services or suppliers that need it most, rather than a blanket overhaul. We're excited to be at the forefront of this shift, helping our clients build service ecosystems that are integrated, as well as tailored and flexible." SSI represents an evolution in how SIAM is adopted, upholding the fundamental principles of strong governance, collaboration and end-to-end accountability while enabling businesses to select their integration approach. Scopism surveyed its global SIAM community of more than 5,000 professionals across customer organizations, service providers, consultancies and public-sector organizations. The research explored service integration adoption, key drivers and emerging trends. Survey findings were complemented by 10 practitioner interviews across the United Kingdom, Europe, Australia, Asia and the Middle East. Download the Scopism and Unisys white paper. Partnership combines liquid cooling innovation and global field services to scale organizations' AI infrastructure. BLUE BELL, Pa. - WEBWIRE - Thursday, August 20, 2026 Unisys (NYSE: UIS) and Refroid Technologies, a data center liquid cooling company, have partnered to help organizations build, deploy and maintain the high-performance computing infrastructure AI workloads require. The growth of AI is reshaping data center requirements and driving demand for solutions that support increasingly complex, energy-intensive computing environments. The partnership combines Refroid's liquid cooling technologies with the global field services and delivery capabilities from Unisys, enabling organizations to maximize the performance and value of AI infrastructure investments. Organizations have heavily invested in AI models, platforms and applications, but they are quickly recognizing that the physical infrastructure required to support AI is equally critical to long-term success. Gartner(R) forecasts worldwide AI spending will reach $2.59 trillion in 2026, with AI infrastructure accounting for more than $1.4 trillion of that total. This underscores the growing importance of the technologies, services and support required to enable AI at scale. Through their partnership, Unisys and Refroid address evolving infrastructure demands and strengthen the foundation for AI growth. Refroid brings expertise in direct-to-chip cooling, immersion cooling, coolant distribution units and hybrid load-bank technologies designed for high-performance computing environments. Unisys complements these capabilities with specialized field services designed for high-performance computing environments, including deployment, commissioning and validation support, technical workforce enablement, and AI-powered service management and lifecycle support services delivered through its Digital Workplace Solutions. AI is creating new infrastructure demands that extend well beyond the data center itself" said Patrycja Sobera, senior vice president and general manager, Digital Workplace Solutions, Unisys. "Organizations need trusted providers with expertise that bridges the gap between technology innovation and real-world execution as they invest in AI. This collaboration reflects our continued evolution to meet emerging client needs and support the infrastructure powering the future of AI." Additional benefits of the Unisys and Refroid partnership include: * Simplified deployment and commissioning of AI-ready infrastructure environments. * Improved efficiency across increasingly energy-intensive computing environments. * Enhanced infrastructure reliability through global maintenance, technical support and lifecycle services. * Strengthened workforce readiness through specialized technician training and field-service expertise. * Expanded AI-powered service management capabilities to support emerging AI infrastructure requirements. "The bottleneck in AI infrastructure is no longer silicon, it is the skilled expertise required to deploy the cooling that silicon demands," said Satya Bhavaraju, CEO, Refroid Technologies. "Partnering with Unisys gives our technology a global services backbone from day one - certified technicians who can install, commission and maintain our systems to Original Equipment Manufacturer standards, supporting AI infrastructure deployments worldwide."
