Seif Elwazery appointed chairman of United Media Services. The appointment follows leadership changes at United Media Services after Tarek Nour stepped down for health reasons. Jul 12, 2026 The board of directors of United Media Services (UMS) has appointed Seif Elwazery as chairman, succeeding Tarek Nour, who stepped down after a transitional tenure for health reasons. Elwazery had been serving as the company's vice chairman and chief executive officer before assuming the role. The appointment was approved during a board meeting held in Cairo on July 11th. United Media Services also announced that Mohamed El-Saadi, who had been acting chairman pending the appointment of a permanent successor, requested to step down in order to focus on managing his own business activities. In a statement, Elwazery and the board expressed their appreciation to El-Saadi for his contribution during the transition period. The leadership changes mark the latest restructuring at one of Egypt's largest media groups, which owns and operates television channels, newspapers, digital platforms and production companies.

Bank Muscat awarded 'Leadership in Women Empowerment' prize, enhancing its leadership presence in the banking sector 09 June 2026. 17:53 Muscat time Muscat - Al-Ru'ya Bank Muscat, the leading financial institution in the Sultanate of Oman, was awarded the Leadership in Women Empowerment prize during the 15th edition of the Women's Conference and Awards organized by United Media Services under the patronage of Her Highness Sayyida Dr. Taghrid bint Turki Al Said, in recognition of its initiatives and programs aimed at supporting women professionally and personally, and empowering them to achieve success and contribute effectively to sustainable development. The prize was received on behalf of Bank Muscat by Alia bint Mubarak Al Alawiya, Assistant General Manager of Legal Affairs. This prize reflects Bank Muscat's efforts to establish its position as a leading national model in women's empowerment and enhancing their presence in the banking sector, by adopting sustainable policies and initiatives focusing on developing national competencies and providing a work environment based on diversity, equal opportunities, and innovation. Women constitute about 46% of Bank Muscat's total employees, while the percentage of women in management is approximately 21%, reflecting the bank's firm commitment to empowering national competencies and enhancing women's role at various job and administrative levels. Women also have an active presence in many vital and leadership departments within the bank, including business banking, digital transformation, risk management, operations, marketing, and customer service. Over the past years, many female talents at Bank Muscat have achieved distinguished successes and assumed important leadership positions, clearly embodying the institution's culture based on appreciating efficiency and merit and providing equal opportunities for all. In this context, several female employees of the bank confirmed that their professional experience at Bank Muscat formed an important milestone in developing their skills and enhancing their professional and leadership capabilities. Siham bint Sanjour Al Balushi, Branch Manager of Mawj at Bank Muscat, said: 'Since joining Bank Muscat, I have felt that I am part of a professional environment that encourages development and continuous learning. The support we receive from management and the diverse training programs have helped me gain significant practical experience and enhance my confidence in myself and my ability to achieve more professional successes.' Najla bint Hassan, Senior Manager of Business at the Investment Banking Department at Bank Muscat, stated that working at Bank Muscat gave her a real opportunity to explore experiences and expertise beyond her scope in investment and investment fund management, as the bank is distinguished by a culture of openness to new ideas, empowering women, and encouraging them to be creative and contribute to developing the bank's strategy to provide distinguished services to customers. Maysam bint Mubarak Al Hassaniya, Senior National Sales Officer at Mithaq for Islamic Banking, emphasized that empowering women at Bank Muscat is not just a slogan, but a clear institutional approach reflected in professional development opportunities and leadership responsibilities granted to female talents, noting that there is continuous interest in qualifying female employees and developing their leadership skills through training programs and specialized initiatives. Meanwhile, Abeer bint Abdullah Al Hashimiya, Branch Manager of Wadi Al Kabir at Bank Muscat, said that the work environment at the bank is based on cooperation and teamwork, which positively reflects on our daily performance and the level of services provided to customers. I always feel appreciated and supported, which gives me a sense of pride and motivation to give my best. Maha bint Ahmed Al Abriya, Operations Unit Manager at the Corporate Branch in Al Nahda Towers, indicated that what characterizes her professional experience is the feeling of stability and confidence; as the bank seeks to create a balanced work environment that supports the professional and personal ambitions of female employees at the same time, explaining that this interest enhances their sense of belonging and pride in working for a leading national institution. Ibtisam bint Salem Al Jabriya, Senior Manager of Electronic Payments at the Transaction Management Department, said: 'I am proud to be part of a leading bank team that places innovation and excellence at the core of its priorities. During my professional journey at the bank, I gained valuable experiences that enhanced my skills and contributed to developing my ability to handle challenges with confidence and flexibility,' noting that the bank has provided her with a supportive work environment that encourages continuous learning and professional growth; reflecting its commitment to empowering national competencies and enhancing women's role in the banking sector.
