Overview

The University System of New Hampshire is the state's public higher-education system, coordinating the University of New Hampshire, Plymouth State University and Keene State College. Together, the institutions offer undergraduate and graduate programs, conduct research and provide public services for New Hampshire communities; UNH Durham is a public land-, sea-, and space-grant research university. USNH also includes the College of Professional Studies and Franklin Pierce School of Law, while its institutions retain distinct academic missions under one Board of Trustees. Created by state law in 1963, the nonprofit system is headquartered in Concord, New Hampshire.
